What does Naruto see in Sakura?

I havn't read the manga, i hear she gets strong. So i'm only basing this this on the anime.

Okay i can understand at the begining how Naruto could like Sakura; she pretty and smart. However throught the series she been so anoying, all she thinks about is Sasuke, which most of the time he doesn't even care about her. She doesn't see things naruto does for her. Like the time when naruto saved Sakura from Gaara. And the promise to bring Sasuke back. All she does is yell at Naruto.

So i wonder what does Naruto see in Sakura? Atleast in Hinata, she actually pretty strong and kind to Naruto.

Naruto's a dope. He's so blinded by his crush on Sakura (Which is likely for the reasons you suggested. She is smart and cute) that he cant even see that the equally cute Hinata has just as big a crush (though not as loud or obvious) on him. Also, I think the fact that Naruto conciders Sasuke his biggest rival adds to it. I think that his crush on Sakura and attempts to win her heart are just as much intended to beat Sasuke as they are an actual part of his crush on Sakura.

EDIT: Sakura's not much better. Both Naruto and Rock Lee have obvious crushes on her, but she stubbornly insists on trying to win Sasuke. Its understandable, but still, why try to get what you cant have when you can get something almost as good.

Also, I could be wrong, but at a few points in the manga, Sakura has seemed to show a bit of a soft spot for Naruto. Its nothing big, and is quickly forgotten about, and may be nothing more than simple respect and admiration. But who knows? Thats the way I like to see it.

And BTW, the show is awesome, but if you can, I highly recomend you read the manga. Its much better.

I agree with spender but you didnt have to hint subtle clues of the manga! And to the question. Love is love you know? you dont have to have a reason to love someone, you just do. One reason, may be because she acknowledges him more openly then hinata ever did. When you see Naruto talking about his past, And then you see him running towards his friends, who are the people who have acknowledged him? Iruka, Kakashi, Sasuke, and Sakura. Its always them, you never see Hinata in there. One flaw of Hinata is her shyness, even though she cares about him more than Sakura she never lets him know. Watch the fight with Naruto and Kiba again. Hinata WANTS to cheer him on, and Sakura takes the words right out of her mouth. So in that sense Sakura is more openly supportive of Naruto then Hinata is. I think Sakura has her good points though at times she can be annoying, but the core reason why he cares about her is not because he wants to beat Sasuke, i dont think its that fickle, i think he cares about her because she has come to rely on him. Sakura believes in Naruto to always come through for her, thats why Naruto will always risk his life to keep her happy and alive. I.e the fight with gaara and the attempt to bring Sasuke back.

I'd say more that he had a crush in the beginning and that it somewhat changed later on. Sure that crush he had on Sakura was still there but I think he came to care about her alot because they are teammates. Remember the first lesson that Kakashi taught them? I don't think he'd want Sakura to like him just because he wants to win over Sasuke.
Remember most of his life he's been alone but then Iruka, Kakashi, Sasuke and Sakura came into his life. Maybe they are the most important people to him ever, for that reson I belive he'd risk his life for them. Maybe he feels like if they die he'll be all alone again.

And the Kiba fight, well ever thought about who Sakura would cheer on if Naruto faced Sasuke insteed? Hinata had to chose either one of her team mates or the person she likes. Maybe you find it silly, but after all they are team mates that are going to risk put their lives on the stake in mission. They need to know that they can trust the others in their team. So cheering on your opponent is like saying, I don't think you'll win because your weak. Sakura don't have any attachments like that so she could freely cheer on Naruto. Hinata did what she could like giving him the ointment.

how come the manga never really explain when naruto's infactuation with sakura started or when hinata crush started. all that is know is that when sakura appeared in the manga naruto already liked sakura and hinata naruto

Hinata doesn't respect her teammates of her squad, so why should Naruto really care for Hinata? It's all good to take revenge for Hinata, but Kiba was right to tell Hinata not to fight Neji or Gaara. Hinata put her teammates at risk just so she could lie limp for Naruto.

Here is an analogy of how unfair Hinata was to her team: I am a student. I have two things to do: do a test I haven't really studied for and do a group assignment. I can't do both and my friends were right in saying that I am not going to pass it; even in my own mind, I know that it is a long shot and doing the test would not allow me to use that period to go do some group assignments. Well, there is a girl in the class where I am going to do my test. Screw everyone else; I don't care if my group fails since I wouldn't help them. I have to think about myself and act UNFAIRLY to my team.

See, Hinata sucks.

What does Naruto see in Sakura? She has shown some interest in being more of a team player than some boy's toy like Hinata.

I felt sorry for Hinata during the Kiba/Naruto fight. I mean, I can only imagine what kind of Hell Kiba would give her if she started cheering for Naruto. And Kiba is her teammate after all, despite his unpleasantness. But on the otherhand, Naruto is the person she likes most of all. She wants him to succeed, to be the best he can be. She wants him to go as far as he can, and to show everyone that they were wrong about him being a total loser, even if she is too shy to actually say all that outloud.

So her dilema is that she has to choose between her crush, and her obnoxious teammate. If she cheers for Naruto, then Kiba is going to chew her out and give her a hard time, and she will in a sense be betraying her own team. But if she cheers for Kiba, then she is letting Naruto down.

I wonder if, even if Hinata could admit her feelings for Naruto in a way that he could actually understand (again, that is the main problem. Naruto is too big a dope to see the obvious signs of Hinata's crush on him), what would it be like? I know that even if I know for a fact that a girl likes me, I still usually have trouble doing anything about it. Then again, Naruto is loud-mouthed, and doesnt worry about the concequences of his actions. However, even if he knew Hinata really liked him, would he really do anything about it? How would he respond to such knowledge?

I think naruto think Sakura as a his "Favorite Girl", but just at beginning. Later, now he think she as his blessing friends and very precious friends as well Sasuke Wink

naruto likes sakura cuz sakura is adorable... look at what she's done in the chunin exam (protecting naruto and sasuke) although her strengh is just plain sux
