just wondering if this happens to you all, or just me:
when i search for forum topics or reading posts using 'find all post by...', and click on next to read the next page, does this show up?

Yeah it stinks.......
And it's for all search results too.
Get it fixed immediately or i will be forced to spam the forums with duplicate threads.

| What exactly is the use of the Search function? I mean, when I click it, and enter the name of a thread, or a topic I wish to see in the forum, it find out nothing in which I need... or is it just to search stuffs outside the forum? |

The search function works perfectly fine for me. Both search functions actually. I actually do get the same problem as you sayoku. I think that only occurs if there are too many results. For examples, since CGY has 10,000+ points, if you search under his name, you would only be able to see the first page probably.
Also, opening different windows after you've run your serach may do that. Well, that happens to me when I use "view posts since last visit" but that option is practically a search option, so it's probably the same.
I think the best advice I can give you is to just reduce your results. You can do this by using AND between two words. If you were to use OR (or nothing at all) it would give results for either/or. On the other hand, if you used AND, you would receive results with BOTH words within the thread instead of one or the other. |

how much is too much?
What is the most number of search results possible to be displayed without that error? _________________ [img:309:200:9b3695521e]http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8583/dobedobedojs0.jpg[/img:9b3695521e] |

| I'm not too sure to be honest. I can't give you an exact number. But I'd guess 2000+. |

Trick is huge search will make the buffer overload and it will return a null search. When we have about 220 000 forum posts, there quite a chance if you do a search for "anime", it will explode.
Also remember this is a suggestion forum. If you keep this stupid attitude, it'll just ruin the whole idea. |

yeah, i never reli understood why that happens... i thought that no one posted while i was gone.
it did work about a fortnight ago when i logged into AS at my friends house, there was actually 2 posts there.
but after that it has never worked before or after...
sure would be useful if it was working. _________________ [img:567:138:151453bb6b]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/wahagifsda.gif[/img:151453bb6b]

So this happens when it accounts for too many posts or when there are too many results for the query? I ask because the error message apears even when there are only 2 pages of results. I tested this by searching for the posts of a new user but couldn't get past the first page even though there would only have been 2 or 3 more results. Same happened when I did a thread search and got only 2 pages of results. It wouldn't be too much of a deal if it weren't because having only 1 page of results may turn out in creating duplicates of a thread that would have showed up in a second page. _________________
