Looks like Lunar Anime took a big hit as one of their big members is quitting the anime scene due to disagreements about ethics.

I think a lot of their fansubbing will be delayed now due to the loss of this member.

He have a good point, but when people are offered a choice of free animes or $25 for a DVD consisting of 4 episodes... I am guessing majority will opt for free. After all, if something is offered free, people would just take even if they don't need it. I think that's just human nature.

I fully agree with him and willingly praise him for standing up for what fansubbing was done in the first place, rather than sliding along with others into what what he feels is deplorable.

i still do not understand why so many people are so ignorant to say: "OMFG buy teh dvds u n00b0r!!!111111oneoneone" or " ZOMFG get a job!!111", while there are people who live in a country with a really bad economy and low salaries, like the Brasilian who posted there, or just have not enough money to spend 30$ for a dvd containing 4 episodes of an anime with more than a hundred episodes.

personally, I don't see how the best reaction to someone making a cheap imitation to compete with your real thing is to quit making the real thing.

Actually, what's happened is that he's quit doing something that wasn't wrong because other people are doing something that is wrong. It's like surrender.
