hmm wheneveri try and open up something to watch windows media player says error downloading codec. i can hear the audio but theres no video. man this stinks i really dont know wat to do

1. go here http://cccp-project.net
2. Download
3. Install
4. Set all video to open with Media Player Classic (should have come in the download)
5. Profit!

Is anyone here knowledgable with Linux OS applications?
Cuz My volume doesn't work.
and the program TOTEM player says i need a streamer plug in or something. 
Yea I don't think many ppl use this system! T___T

| In my Eclipse episode of To-Aru no Majutsu no Index, and my gg's Code Geass R2, the video seems to "lag" behind the audio... how do i fix this/whats the problem? |

I've always downloaded my anime in .avi format, because thats what worked on my player, but I know that a lot of new anime is coming out in mkv files primarily. So I downloaded VLC player to play my mkv files, but that doesn't seem to be working either. Any suggestions?

You may want to try Media Player Classic, which comes in lots of codec packs like K-Lite Codec Pack or CCCP.
You can download the standalone program in http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm, but not all .mkv can be played if you do that. If you want to play most, you need to get some of the codecs in the codec packs to make things easier.
