I am Lds (also known as 'Mormon') and if you dont know im christian, I believe in Jesus Christ... here is what we call the Articles of Faith.. like a summary of what we believe...
1 WE believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be save, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things. _________________ "Our friends should be companions who inspire us, who help us rise to our best."

I would have to say both... when i was born my family was lds but as i was growing up my family was very un-active and we ended up going to my other churchs... ive gone to some chatolic, baptise, etc... in brazil i went to a catolic school basicly cause its the cheapest american school there hehe but i was forced to take religion class... so i have a wide veiw of different religions and then I 're-discovered' the LDS church. And I testify to all of you that it is the true church of Jesus Christ _________________ "Our friends should be companions who inspire us, who help us rise to our best."

Oh please, you cannot know what Jesus wanted. There's nothing in the Bible that proves that Jesus even thought about doing his own religion. "You are Rock and on this rock I will build my Church." (Matthew 16: 18) which he supposedly said to Peter, was only added later and isn't thought to be historically true. Remember that Jesus lived and died as a Jew.
If you believe that your sect is the true church then that's fine. I don't, so please don't try to convert me.
Personally, I don't think Christians even need a church. The rules of Christianity are simply a mindset which everyone can achieve, be it under the name of Christianity, some other religion or through some sort of philosophy. Sigh, wouldn't it be paradise if it was that easy?
According to my ID I'm catholic btw. but I don't really trust the church so I consider myself Christian not catholic.

Yeah, church, for most Christians, considered it as a building. It is not actually a building. In Indonesian, church can be used as a "verb" and that means "fellowship". That means church can be considered a group of people who has the same vision and mission of Jesus. I think that was mentioned by Paul (if my memory is right). _________________ Innocent Tranquility

The Catolic Church has screwed up on the whole church thing.. They twisted and changed it so that it will benifit them. Its nothing but a 'whoredom on the face of the earth'... im abit against the origization but not on the members if you think im against ever catolic, but im not... i dislike how the catolic church has done soo much evil to the world especially in the past and they would still do it if they thought they could get away with it... most of my friends are catolic, i even went to a catolic school.... _________________ "Our friends should be companions who inspire us, who help us rise to our best."

Catholic is too extreme, lot like Islam. (<i'm saying this from historical point of view) and too involved with politics, well vatican IS a government anyway.
Buddhism? I don't get it.
Judaism? it's just older version of the same ol' religion.
Hindu... too many gods too colorful, gives me seizures.
I just don't like being involved in religion.
Religions have contributed to some interesting cultural accomplishments.
I thank religions for enriching the human cultures.
But I don't view relgions as something that will save us.
I have an idea that religion is just one phase in evolution of mankind.
Maybe all religions will die out in some distant future. Or maybe it'll remain for a very long time (like in xenosaga/xenogears series). _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img]
i don't believe in the big bang /evolution theory if you look at how many things would have had to have happened exactly rright for me to be ablo to exist it is pretty much impossible for this whole life thing to be just a coincidence
if you believe otherwise and it was true then there really isn't any meaning to life is there?
But luckily i believe there is meaning to life _________________ [img:500:120:ed381c252c]http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i301/ryder81/CItachi.jpg[/img:ed381c252c]

Well... I guess if that's your answer.... I don't care then....
Just wanted to hear an answer from a Mormon...... personal accounts seem to have a much more impact on me... rather than having to read from something I got off google... _________________
