yeah, i think that girl names are the names who are copied the most, in animes mangas, etc. (sorry, my english isnt very good =P)
That's why i like to see some names from other countries in animes, too.
But i don't want to see an anime with people named "Hans" or "Govanni" running around xD

i think these are the most commonly used......

sakura (man! so many anime with these title) Laughing

yuki (male or female, they name it anyway)
kei (either this plain simple, or some additional like tarou, suke)

some other are:
rei
kyusuke
haruka
ken

well akira was taken in the first post..and everything else i though of was taken too...

well, Sakura is the most common girl's name in Japan. It's no surprise it appears often in anime too.

I think "yuki" is a very common word in a name.
I can think of many names with "yuki" in them.

Miyuki
Yukinari
Yuki (as a name itself)
Yukino
Yukie
