How we should live our lives

I was just wondering how you guys think we should live our lives. Should we strive to meet the heavens with our glory, or live only for ourselves? My theory is kinda like that of the ancient Vikings. "Fate catches up to us all. We can never escape our certian death and should not try to. Instead we should make a name for ourselves so we may be remembered. For only with wealth and fame is a man immortal." That's the way I live my life. What about you guys?

Just live life in a way that will make yourself most happy.......Not other people.....yourself... Although I guess some people find pleasure in helping others.

i believe fate is overrated, ppl who believe in fate,will just accept life as it is and try not to change.

Overrated? Maybe, but it's still nice to believe.

Personally, I am atheist and I can see why others need/want to believe there is something out there. Perhaps I'd be a better person if I did as well.

Life... well theoretically, you only get one chance at it. So make the best out of it. Be determined, true to yourself, find happiness and basically just enjoy what you've got. Maybe being complacent isn't exactly what I mean but, you've got to make the best out of what you've got. Cliche but valid.

I'm with the Satanists vew of life, live for ourselves however we want. This includes overindulgence and selfishness~(tho not to selfish, you donnt want to end up alone).
As for fate, that for me is another word for luck/bad luck.

live for yourself, use morals, religious laws as guidelines. we cant be total animals all the time. live for yourself, but help others whnever ou can.

It takes a long time to find our true path in life. For me it took 5 years to find it, and I was lucky to find it. We should live our lives of our own accord. However this does not mean that our lives should only include our own and no one else. We are surrounded with people who love us or interact with us in some way. You can just live you life focused on yourself. What about all those who are around you? If everyone just lived for themselves the world would fall into more chaos than it is already enveloped in. I chose to live for others instead of myself all the time, and it made my life so much happier.

I suppose I am saying that we must find our own path, but we cant forget that there are others in this world with us, doing the same things we are. We should live our lives with the emotions and status of others in our minds, not just our own.
