Alright, this film is amazing on so many levels! I think it's a lot of the little things that make this movie so amazing. When Chihiro puts on her shoes...how she taps her toes on the ground! That is classic. And the dust bunnies (which mostly remind me of Totoro) are so adorable, and add a cute element to the movie.
I could babble on about this movie forever, but I won't. And to anyone who hasn't seen this movie yet...you really should see it at least once. It's an amazing movie! You won't regret it! |

Guess it's not that bad... but it was really weird, and the plot was quite underdeveloped. I kinda thought it was a children's movie at first, but then again, the content wasn't for children in a way ( the blood and stuff). _________________ The biggest fan! |

I haven't seen the movie yet...
I read the manga form of the movie, it is quite good, but I think the movie would be much better.
Hope to get a hold of it soon, I always see the dvd at stores but always does not have the urge to buy it.

| yes and totoro is also a good one because it is so cute and sweet just like spirited away or even Howl's Moving Castle it is an anime but it was once a real book. |

Totoro was definitely a good movie. ^^

Totoro (Tonari no Totoro, or My Neighbor Totoro) is basically about two girls who interact with a bunch of spirits that the adults can't see. It takes place in a house that their family just moved into.
It's a great movie, no matter how weird the "plot" may seem. I mean, I can't really flesh out the plot without giving things away... =/
My Top 5 Fav. Miyazaki Films:
1. Tonari no Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro)
2. Spirited Away
3. Nausicaa
4a. Howl's Moving Castle
4b. Castle in the Sky
5. Princess Mononoke
Interesting thing to note is that the "sequel" to the book Howl's Moving Castle is called Castle in the Sky, but the Miyazaki film is entirely unrelated to it.
INFO: All this month (how much of it is left...?), TCM (Turner Classic Movies) is airing Miyazaki films on Thursdays, in both English and Japanese (with subtitles). |
