Have you all ever wonder, why most of the anime's girls are draw in such a way - Big eyes, big boobs and mini waist? With the exception of some. But in reality those type of girls just don't exist.

i think it all exists in the artists' dreams... when i read mangas i wonder about it too, since most of the characters seem to be so pretty / handsome... >.<=

it's all about the fanservice.

PLUS.... the only two things that are proven to sell big internationally are sex and violence. Those are the only things universally understood without any regard to cultural boundaries.

And thus ends the sociology lesson for today, class is dismissed, remember term papers are due on my desk by 5pm on Friday.

Well it is media influenced. But lets not forget that cartoons are basicly a exageration of reality. So out there, somewhere, there is a girl with big eyes, huge boobs and mini waists, it just been exagerated in anime.

....plus there is always that girl across the street from me who has that exact description~starts waving hello to Naru Narusegawa~.....i cant tell the difference between anime and life anymore....

Fanservice, what else. The thing is, where is the fanservice for us girls? I'd like to see more muscled men in anime. All the characters are down right sticks.

well, i guess because anime in general is all exaggerated, so i figured the animators and stuff were like "f. it! why the hell not?!".
well, its true that sex sells. and they just applied that principle to their works, and hey! it got all of u watching didnt it? so there, it works. Very Happy

oh, and ofcourse the fanservice.

Ya, if the gers they draw ain't attractive or cute, think really no one will buy, or should I say no guys would buy Smile

. Thinking about muscular men, they always appear but normally not the lead actor and usually are the disgusting people like perverts all that, think that's the current anime protray.
