How long do you prefer your manga???

I like somewhere around 200 chapters because after about 300 chapters you will probalbly get bored and there is most likely some fillers in the chapters. So around 200 chapters is good enough for a story to begin get a good climax and end well.

i perfer something like.. 400 chaps.. and a good manga wouldn't get old after a while as long as it have a good plot

mangas to short are bad to read. ya read them and suddenly they end and u end up crying lol to long mangas are better. on long mangas ya read whole life story of the charas.

I don't see the point in having short mangas. Maybe they would go well with propaganda and the actual events of our world; however, the entertainment would not be there. (At least none that I have read.) I prefer longer manga's just as long as they don't carry on and restart the main idea of the story over. Some of those romance/comedy mangas go on the same idea for too long.

Darn. I'd wish you put a "Depends how many chapters" slot.
It all depends on the manga. For example a manga like Kenshin - IMO - could have ended after the fight with Shishio (whatever his name is), but it kept going and going with the same kind of trend (battle a strong guy with bad-ass allies). Also don't get me started on what the Dragon Ball Z mangas were like.
Anyways Hajime No Ippo is one of those mangas that can get you hooked no matter how long it is. I was surprised when I saw I was at Chapter 487!!! - and still going mind you.

It doesnt matter as long as manga fascinate you. Hmm some sports manga are usualy long like Hajime no Ippo which have now about 63-64 vol. Romances usualy are about 15-20vol and i think its good lenght. However it depends on manga-ka and how he show us things if it isnt really boring then it can be as long as he want. You could use one piece as example each arc is better and better than previous one.

i think the longer the manga the better as long as i have the time to sit there and read it and most importantly theres all of it at my disposal

i dont like postphoned mangas, at first i like naruto and bleach but as the time goes i feel bored because the story is so complicated and became boring

i like min really long cuz then the story usually covers the characters life over a coures of years, it's like the character(s) grow up right in front of you and you see them develope, i like that aspect

It really depends on the story. If they're constantly hitting you with new stuff, definitely upwards of 250. But for the most part I believe kmc was right, usually the longer ones are the ones no one likes.
