Disgaea anime

Just watched the promo clip. Freakin' sweet! I seriously hope this series makes its way to the US. I'd love to see Laharl beating the crap out of Vye--um--Midboss, and to see the prinnys explode after being bumped or thrown around. Twisted Evil

The raw was out today. I'm kinda surprised that YURIA didn't perform the OP or ED of this series, because she certainly did in the game.

The story of teh anime differs from the game. I'm pretty sure Disgaea players know what I mean.^^

anyways about the first episode
As usual the Assasin Flonne was sent to Kill Krichevskoy b and ended up waking Laharl instead.
and Flonne already lost her pendant but it wasn't taken by mid-boss(I forgot his name that's why I call him that)

Captain Gordon, Jennifer and Thursday also showed up in it^^

Prinnies were also seen in some scenes and Etna showed up on the last minute.

I seems kinda irritating to see the blurry graphics in it though

Wow... I expected this series to have some pretty good animation, but I was sorely disappointed. The animation is pretty bad for Disgaea and not to mention inconsistent too. I'm not sure I'm going to keep this one for long.

lol..i really enjoyed the game....but im not expecting much from the anime series....... generally games based on anime series or vice versa usually end up being lousy.

Not having played the game cant comment on that but, the animation and story seemed kinda lax. More like the series is based around comedy than anything.

lol though the series didn't really go anywhere.. and it was pretty predictable.. i still enjoyed the light heartedness and silly jokes =P
it might be average.. but it is sitll enjoyable.

i've played Disgae for ps2, which is awesome, but i havent seen the anime yet. is it good?

The anime itself barely follows the actual game storyline. It starts off changing it completely, but by the halfway point or so the whole "even demons can love!" theme does start becoming important, and the ending is basically the good ending of the game. If you played through disgaea 1 and enjoyed it, I'd recommend the anime, but watch it just to enjoy seeing Flonne, Laharl and Etna doing fun silly things other than what happened in the game.

Heck, just watch it for more Flonne. The world cannot have enough Flonne.

Oh, and opinions may differ, but I personally love the ending theme of the anime. =p
