Did your parents ever get angry with you for buying manga? Did they throw away or burn away your manga? What is their reaction when you read manga?
This are some of the question I to ask.
For me, they were angary with me for buying manga and they called me childish and won't mature for reading manga. They even throw away all my manga when I was 12 years old. The book they throw away are Doraemon and Dragonball. |

Wait, wait, wait.
Your parents were angry because you were reading when you 12? Heh. You can say how well they encouraged your education. My mother would kill to have me read when I was younger, but I luckily discovered books when I was 12. |

| Yes I know what you meant but right now I am 20 and they called me childish for reading manga now. Now I have a few collection and they are Fist of The North Stars, Rave, Ramma 1/2, Ragnarok, Demon King, Love Hina, GTO, MAR and Doraemon ( Adventure series). |

| Though this topic is related to manga, I feel this thread is more suitable for the free for all section. So I'll move it there. |

at first my parent say it such a waste to buy manga and anime, but then when I showed them the manga I buy (that time it was dragon ball seasons)
then they actually like it...
now when I want to buy manga/manga I just ask them for financial support...

my parents have never seen cartoons as childish. they dont mind my brother and i watching anime or reading manga except when it takes up too much time. my dad even watches miyizaki movies with me |

Parents will never understand why we read manga.so tell them that reading manga is a good way to spend our time.it can help us relax our brain after studying. After all, which would they rather like,a child reading manga or a child addicted to drugs? |
