Ichigo 100% Vol. 4 Chp. 33 Crying in the Rain(Alternate)

Manaka/Toujou

Some of the dialougue used in my story is dirveted from the Manga itself.

This story was done as an alternate of Vol. 4; Chp. 33 "Crying in the Rain"
I wrote this, because I felt that THIS is what Manaka SHOULD have done... instead of just standing there dumbfounded watching Toujou cry.

It started raining heavily, out of the blue. "Gah, why it'd start raining out of no where?!" Manaka Junpei pulled his drenched shirt over his head. "Damn, it's my fault anyway... just standing there thinking about Tsukasa. Toujou made the right choice heading back first. Tsukasa... maybe I should give her a call when we get back home. Huh?"

And that's when he spotted her, Toujou Aya. She was standing under a tree, the rain pouring down heavier. Toujo was a beautiful girl, innocent, gentle and kind. She was also the girl whom Junpei fell in love with first sight with in middle school. Though at the time, he never realized that it was actually her. Manaka failed to realize she was the mysterious beauty he found on the roof, thanks to a pair of glasses and certain hairstyle. However, Manaka already had confessed to Nishino Tsukasa, who he had mistaken to be the girl on the roof. Nishino was a very cute girl, and Junpei started to grow deep feelings for her as well. However, they had decided not to enroll in the same high school. Nishino had realized Manaka had liked a certain novelist. Even after that, Manaka still had not confessed his feelings to Toujou, even if she had shared the same dreams as him. There was also Kitaouji Satsuki, a sexy bombshell he had met during his first year of highschool. Their relationship started off rocky, but Manaka began to realize that Satsuki was a girl that he could get along with very well, and began to like her. As assertive as she was, Satsuki had already confessed to Manaka how much she liked him. But because of Toujou, as well as Nishino, Manaka had been indecisive on which girl he liked the most.

He gazed upon the beauty that was Toujou, wondering why she was standing out here in the rain. "Toujou? What are you doing here? If you happen to catch a cold... what would we do?" The concerned Manaka began to approach, and realized, she had been crying in the rain. 'Why would she be crying?' He thought, 'is it because of the rain?'

"Manaka... to be able to talk to Manaka about novels and movies... makes me very happy..." Toujou barely whispered. The rain drowning out the words that escaped her lips.

"Toujou, it's raining too hard, I can't hear you."

"Manaka is the first guy to ever treat me gently, even when he was going out with Nishino..." She pressed her hands to her face, to hide her tears from Manaka. "I'm such a detestable woman... despite everything... I still want to be with Manaka..." She gasped, unexpectedly she was held in the arms of the person who she wanted to be with. "Manaka..."

"I don't know why you're crying, but seeing you like this... makes me sad too." Manaka embraced Toujou tighter. He had longed to hold Toujou like this. Despite knowing Nishino's and Satsuki's feelings, Toujou had always been the girl he was in love with, ever since middle school. "Please Toujou, please tell me why you're crying."

"Manaka... is it right... for you to hold me like this? She said in her quiet, little voice. This was the embrace she wanted from Manaka for so long. Toujou's tears mixed in with the water from the rain, making it barely noticable.

"...It's always been you... Toujou. You've always been the girl I loved. Ever since we met on the roof, I couldn't stop thinking about the beauty I had seen, with the sunset reflecting off her face." He failed to mention that the other reason was because he caught a glimpse of her strawberry panties. "Even though I didn't know it was you at the time, I began to fall for the plain Toujou with glasses and pigtails. You had helped me through so much, and even joined the same high school as me to share our dreams. Toujou... I love you for this. You've open up the world to me, it's because of you that I'm able to make movies and live my dream!"

"...What about Nishino and Satsuki? Is this alright? Even if you're dating Nishino and Satsuki is ill?" She was embarrassed to say, knowing deep down Manaka also had feelings for them.

"Me and Nishino decided to part ways...Toujou... I... I want to be with you... Toujou." It flashed lightening and thunder cracked the sky. The continue-ing rain pounded their embraced bodies as they stood under the tree, which provided no cover from the downfall of water. Manaka released Toujou from their embrace and blushed, embarrassed that his confession was at a time like this. "Sorry...maybe this isn't the right time..."

"Manaka..." Her wet hair sticked to her face. Toujou's head was down, and water dripped off the tips of her locks. Her expression was dark, and at this point Manaka did not know what to expect. Maybe after all, Toujou had not felt the same about him. Maybe it was a mistake to confess to Toujou. But at this point, Manaka could not deny his strong feelings for her. "Manaka! I love you! It's thanks to you Manaka, that their is so much excitement in my life. Everything is well because of you... because of Manaka!"

Toujou took quick steps toward Manaka, her arms stretched wide. The tears flowed freely from her eyes as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She could die happy just then, having being the girl picked by Manaka. He then brought his arms around her waist, bring her closer. The couple being drenched in the rain.

"I love you... Toujou..." Manaka looked down upon his lover, and she looked up at him. He stared deeply into her grey eyes, finding himself lost in them. Without realizing it, Manaka leaned forward, his lips inching towards Toujou's. It all felt natural to Manaka, as if it were second nature. Toujou closed her eyes and leaned in as well.

"Manaka..." Another flash of lightening lit up the sky, followed by the loud sound of thunder. A scream came from Toujou. She buried her head into Manaka's chest, and her breathing became heavy. "Sorry... I'm terrified of thunder..." He pulled her closer, and placed his left hand on the back of her head, trying to be a reassurance.

"Why don't we head back now? We'll both catch a cold at this rate." He smiled, he and Toujou were finally a couple. Then it hit him, how could he break the news to Satsuki? She would definitely be devestated with the fact the he and Toujou were going out. Satsuki was kind towards Manaka, and he really did not want to lose her friendship. Deep down, he knew he had to keep this a secret from her, that he would tell her when the time was right.

That was great. You should do more of this with different scenes.

Maybe a chapter of icgigo 100% can be another chapter to write....

Sorry... I will add more in the future. >.<; It's just I don't have the courage to finish this... because I think it blows. Ahh well... I'll try to add more.

I'll also try to write alternates to other chapters of the manga... that seems like a cool concept. Of course, if I do, each of the stories will have nothing to do with each other... hmm... this shall be a tough project.

I'm reading through the manga for my third time now, and I just finished that particular part, then read this fan-fic. This is exactly how I was thinking when I was looking at the manga just now. Impressive work, and nice to see someone thinks like I do.

Very good, I like it and it happens to be about a manga that I love. I don't have much to comment on because it was good; I often don't like talking about stories that I like. Though the thing that I was pleased the most about was the ending. I liked how you had Junpei decide to not tell Satsuki, It was something that Junpei would definitely do.
