My first ever picture of a manga character!

hehe... Well please comment and give me advice, seeing as this is the first time i've published a proper manga picture. The picture is a bit "turned" to one side, but please bear with it because for some unknown reason i drew it like that, and i couldn't be bothered starting it again. I got inspired while reading a manga, and tried to copy it. I didn't trace the picture and I'm proud of it... hehe.

...also try and guess what manga i was reading if you could, from my picture.

it looks reli good. i first thought that the tilt was to give it effect. then i read what u posted. either way, it looks good.
i bet u were reading ichigo 100% werent u?

anyways, its a work of art, hell, its better than what i can draw.
keep it up, post anymore pics when u draw some.

uhhh... yeah, the picture was actually intended to be kinda rotated to one side, and as you mentioned ani, it was supposed to have an effect, but i only wrote that down because there might be people who would say stuff like
"Isn't that picture a bit lopsided" or
"Your picture was kinda hrd to look at, I had to turn my head slightly to the side... I don't like your pic" summfin like that. So i made an excuse before people would say that.

And yes, i was reading ichigo 100% while i drew it, but the one i was reading was in japanese, so i didn't know it was ichigo 100% until just recently.

Also don't expect frequent releases of fanpics from me, cause i take soooo friggin long to draw a picture (this pic took me about 13 hours of my life) and also i dont have my own scanner. I had to ask my friend to scan it for me.

Currently i'm working on a new pic of this same girl in a different position (Don't think of anything ecchi now!!!) and i've already spent about 2 weeks on it... damn its really hard.

Thanks for your comments on my pic though... it's kind of inspired me to continue my drawings for the time being. I'll probably get back to my other drawing soon.

Very nice! Only thing I would say is I think that bump of hair over her left eye is what is making the picture look lopsided. Otherwise, go Satsuki! Continue drawing, you'll get faster for sure, just gotta work at it!

Yeah, the pic is kinda supposed to be satsuki, but i drew her with the hair down, I intended to draw her with her hair up, but... i kinda made a mistake so i just made it my own way.

Yeah I'm finding the hair to be the most troublesome part of my pictures. All the rest seem to be easy enough. It took me about 2 years to get the clothes and the eyes right and about a year to get the body and the proportions right. And it took me another year to get it all in the right place. Currently I'm still a beginner on the hair.

Let's just hope i will soon be able to draw good pics quicker, I still got a long way to go (seeing as though I am still only 14 (Had my B'day about a month ago!!!)).

Thank you all for your comments... I guess its better than recieving no comments at all.

I've been working really hard on my new pic, currently I've finished with the face and hand... and now i've just started work on the hair (which is the most hardest and frustrating part to draw!!!). I'll hopefully be finished sometime soon!!! YAY! Very Happy

Oooh, and the pic I'm drawing, I'm trying to make it look like the girl in my currently posted picture (^^^up there peoples)... I'm trying my very best, but unforunately I don't think it looks like her Sad

Very very nice the tilt adds a really nice effect. I really like it but if u want some criticism i suggest cleaning it up just a bit with photoshop or something but still none the less very good

Ah yeah, problem is I don't have photoshop... and plus i don't know how to use it.
Yeah i kinda knew the hair would be kinda stuffed up, but thats because I don't know how to draw the hair properly yet.
But good news!! I'm finishing up my new pic right now. I've been really inspired by all your comments and i'm planning to finish it by probably next weekish. YAY!
I just love to draw pictures!

Lets just say that there are more good things about this drawing than the bad things.
The line work is decent, clothings is fine and the eyes really stand out. I also like the hair and the expression.
Things I think you can work on are the cheek( the left and the right don't mirror each other), The neck( seem out of place and is too long) and the head (could make it look more round rather than flat)

These are just my opinion though, you may think otherwise. Wink
