Well first of all, you need to learn how to post properly because short posts such as that could get you banned here.
Every style of martial arts has his own advantages and unique styles. It is up to you to find which ones you like or which ones you think you can learn. Watch out for the style of Jeet Kune Do though because its a style thats not a style. Its basically a free-style fighting. |

| I've practiced jujitsu for four years now. It's actually a lot harder than it looks but when you do something correctly it's really hard for the other guy to stop you. |

Hi guys,
I don't practice martial arts but i do some yoga every week just to keep in shape mentally. i have nothing against martial art, i think it's another way to keep our concentration in something and at the same time, if we really like martial, well good job, you practice something you really like. it's the same thing for me. _________________ -LadyPaoline- |

I just started Kendo a few months back myself, and I absolutely love it. Not necessarily the getting my ass kicked part (I'm not quite as good as my sempai... not even close), but the whole idea of self-discipline. As a student you can imagine it's easy to get over burdened or distracted. I've found that Kendo is actually helping me focus better (plus the exercise doesn't hurt). While I'll probably never have to use any type of swordsmanship on the street, I still get a kick out of leaning it. I also like it because of the no belt system. Yes there are ranks, but no way of displaying them. In a way Kendo is about humbling yourself, and to me it seems the most important part of Kendo is experience, not speed, agility, or power. Don't get me wrong speed, agility, and power are important but if you know how to control the center better, can recognize distance quickly, and sense your opponents next move you are far more likely to score a point. The other guy may be beating the hell outta you, but it only counts if it's a clean hit on a target area. _________________ "No! I want it American style. | Martial arts are good for exercise but nothing beats a bullet nowadays. I only learn a bit of karate but I was very unsatisfied with it |
