I know this may not be too important to a lot of people but could you all tell me which sub group you prefer:
mahou OR Eclipse?
Normally I'd just go with mahou because I like what they've done in the past, but they're only up to ep. 20, I think. Is Eclipse that much different? Is it more or less exact in translation? Higher or lower quality video/audio? Is grammar present or is it a casualty of war? |

i dont really care what translation it is as long i can get the right image

After all this time, a thought suddenly comes into my head:
I don't think this should be discussed here, but on a seperate thread instead.

cant they just happily live ever after
i mean the ending would be more suitable or maybe the producers are trying to be clever and use another ending that is quite original. but i dont like it personally. |
Well, from what I see, this ending is as close as it gets to a happy ending. Nobody has to fight anymore, nobody died. Shirou admits that someday he'll forget Saber’s voice and Saber’s actions, but he’ll never forget that he loved Saber.
Moving on to Saber's scene, which takes place on the day of her death (this scene actually happened in the legends of King Arthur, but probably not the part where they talk about the dreams), we see Bedivere telling her that "if she strongly wishes it, she can continue her dream". And what happens? After ordering Bedivere to return the sword to the lady of the lake, Saber closes her eyes, strongly wishing for the continuation of her dream.
Rather than a happy ending, I think it was probably more of a sweet ending. They could have added blood at the end to show she was mortally wounded though. _________________

Hm, are you sure?
According to legends, his/her body was brought to Avalon to sleep and recover from the wounds until the country is in need of him/her again.

I think they let space to a continuation.
He did what your father did. And your father didn´t stop the war. So, I think they can reunite again 10 year later. Or not.
What if in the continuation another call THAT saber? And he call another hero (maybe your "good friend" archer?) |

Huh? I think I understand the continuation part, but unfortunately, not everything else. _________________

The game's alternate endings show that Rin's summon was indeed Shirou from the future. Interestingly though, the one from the anime doesn't look a bit like him.
If you think about it, Archer was able to Materialize all of his weapons as Shirou was so freely able to do in the end. He lost his memory too, when Rin summoned him. But anyway, that's an interesting ending.
Saber won't be summoned again, for she no longer wishes to undo her past. At least, King Arthur will not be summoned again.
I liked the whole concept of Arthur being a woman. And I like how she was able to finally express her feelings as a human through Shirou. Otherwise, she'd be just like how she lived: without feeling.

She's so cute!
Btw Rya, do you have a larger sized version of your avatar? <3 |

Can someone help me? I kinda stopped at some part of the anime and forgot which episode it is... (darn multi-tasking).
I'm watching animes one after another and at some point I got confused and now I can't find that episode so I can start watching again~
It was the episode where Saber used her Excalibur to defeat the Unicorn, then she got really exhausted....
If anyone can help me... please~ _________________ EX-mod |
