Equation (1) - (2)

study - no study = no fail - fail
study(1 - no) = fail(1 - no)

divide (1 - no) on both sides,
hence,
study = fail

if that's the way you see it, then don't study and try cheating your way through education, that is, until you hit post-secondary education. studying isn't an option there; neither is reading the required text

Yes... that equation would work... but the 'given' part of it isn't necessary true and therefore based on assumption. What does that mean? It's inductive reasoning instead of deductive reasoning, therefore not true for all cases (study doesn't always = no fail and etc).

Note: For the people who don't know... inductive reasoning is not accepted in mathematics as a valid proof! Deductive is true for all cases and therefore, you can QED a proof if you can solve it through deductive proof. Very Happy

thats a good proof equation, but not a good idea, even i study, it might be for 5 minutes before a test or exam but its still studying, helps me get my "A", but then again i have kind of a photographic memory on a short term basis

well it really depends on how ahrd you study doesn't it? i mean, if you constantly get distracted then studying wont help right?
