I got the PMD. Arghhhhhh!
Damn that I''s! I want more!
Don't you hate it when you feel a little sick to the stomach when you realized a story just ended? Worse yet, you don't feel SATISFIED!? That's the state I am in right now, which sucks because I can't stop thinking about it. Maybe because I've just spent the last 17 hours reading I''s and got a little mentally damaged.
If anyone has any tips to separate fantasy into reality please tell me! I am starting to have Ichitaka drama rehearsal in my head! (With thought bubbles) |

Read one of the others. Is has a definately forced ending. I mean - if Izumi has been willing to REALLY take him away and fight for him, she would have at the LEAST been the girl moving next door to him. He was there languishing in the last 20 episodes and WHERE WAS SHE? Gheez - if she wanted him, be there to comfort him and make him forget about here - that would have been a godo story - because his dreams were just that - and he had to come back to reality and enjoy what he really had.
I get the feeling that the author wanted to have that story(roughly episodes 100 onward) as the real story from the beginning and the rest was meaningless fluff leading up to it. If so, have 4-5 chapters lead-in and have it pick up a few weeks before graduation.
But we got a cookie-cutter ending. Bleargh. Now Pastel - that's slick - because we see a bit of both sides of the equation and they are normal intelligence. They will remember things and put two and two together. What happens in one episode will remain throughout the rest of them(it's called good writing and believeable characters). Also, the author already got past the awkward newbie stages - just made it so that everyone was already comfortable with dating and so on. One or two episodes lead-in and that whole "high school" nonsense is merely a side-element in the story.
Now, Ichigo 100% is of course supposed to be humorous and campy, but that's what it is. Want I's type drama? There are better options available.
Me? I'd get ahold of the entire series of Azumanga Daioh. The TV series is very good, though - it's also recommended and remains faithful to the Manga.
Other Manga.... There's a lot online.
www.tsunamichannel.com - not finished, but it's a very good Manga that's well worth reading. Something like 350 episodes comprising two Mangas, plus artwork and reader contributions. He's on a break, but when he starts up again, he has about a year left on the story(about 100 pages or so left).
That should give you a better taste in your mouth. |

It's funny you said that, because in a manga review I wrote I thought about the exact same thing.
I''s is in fact a very good story. It touched base with a lot of realistic relationship problems people face today, especially that whole inferior complex issue. This in turn make I''s a very intelligent story, not just another romance manga with lots of fan service (although it had enough of it's own). However, what I''s lacked is the fact that the author tried too hard to show Ichitaka's problem with his relationship and instead missed out all the good sides of being in love. He built up the tension and frustration within Ichitaka and at the end he was never really relieved it to the extend that the reader will be satisfied. Or atleast me. What I meant by that is that a romance story should have an equal balance of hardship and rewards. The reason I''s wasn't very satifying is because the reader never get to see the rewarding part of their relationship. Not only that, the serie just abruptly ended, which pissed me off. A lot. The alternate ending wasn't enough either.
It is my opinion that I''s should've continued for atleast 2 more volume. That or they should've chopped off all the loopy shenanigan around the first few volumes and had him confessed around the 5th volume or so. Either way, the story is still very good, just not rewarding enough for me.
P.S I feel a lot better after I got some FREAKIN SLEEP! Even though it was hard with all the stupid I''s thought swimming in my head. Anyway, it also feels a lot better now since I am able to discuss what was in my head. |

The Post Final Fntasy Depression is much worse...
And about the ending - these things didn't bug me at all. But as someone said the happy ending could've been a little longer - like 2 more chapters and a makeout scene. Dirty mind fo sho'. |

i guess everyone who reads some manga series with all his heart automatically gets PMD when it´s all over
best cure to it: just start reading another great manga series as soon as possible |

Question
What's PMD? I don't know. Sad |
It's "post manga depression." Says so in the title.
You can get rid of post manga depression by reading something more happy.
...or take some happy pills. |

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ^________________^
Glad to know I'm not alone when it comes to this sorta thing.
Kinda funny calling it PMD ^_^
I felt the same thing after reading the entire series of Love Hina... I felt so alone... I could almost cry at that moment.... so sad~
I just wanted the story to go on forever... always wanting what would happen next... and that is where I got my idea to overcome this depression.... I decided to imagine ^_^
You know, kinda like writing fan art or just day dreaming while you're wide awake or something..
But I guess the best way to overcome this feeling is to be STRONG!!! and eventually that feeling will fade..... as they say, time heals all wounds! |

It's kinda weird. When i am in the midst of reading a manga, i read on and on and faster too wanting to see where the story goes, wanting to know how the characters end up, and wanting to know how it all finishes. Then when i do come to the ending... it's kinda sad, i guess. I feel kinda regretful and a wee bit lost now that it's done and over. Same goes with books too.
Now, what shall we call the feeling of suddenly discovering a manga on a site just like ours, and reading it on and it getting into the story more and excited about it, and suddenly coming not to the end of the story, but rather the last of the translated and hosted volumes? |

For me, I write a novel and base it from the inspiration of that comic/anime... _________________ I don't want to kill you, so you better don't make me do what I hate to do... |

Fuck man, when I finished reading Love Hina, I felt like shoving my head through a brick wall.
It was like 'that's it, that's all. Now go home.' _________________
