Gantz is pretty much the tops on everyone's list... admittedly I really enjoy it as well, but there are quite a few more.

For the sake of just art work and action, you can never go wrong with Hellsing. Some of the best art that you will see today, and Hirano has an art style about him that I just love. Oh, and I definitely can't forget Berserk -- awesome in just about every single possible way.

I would hav to say Bleach. He just gets stronger and stronger that Ichigo. Naruto too, very creative with the techniques. And erm. . .Black cat, i guess its a bit more realistic compared to Bleach and Naruto, but black cat is nuts, hes so powerful@@

Mature mangas:

1) MPD (multiple personality detective)
2) Freesia
3) Gantz

Comments: MPD doesn't have action, but it does show the results of very violent crimes.

Teen:

1) Bleach
2) Ippo
3) Naruto

Comments: Naruto can have the best instant of action, like Kakashi ripping his hand through Haku, but I believe that Bleach has a constantly high quality of violence. Hajime No Ippo has some brutal fights, and as Naruto can't beat Bleanch in the fantasy violence department, Ippo's artistically inspired realistic violence just outranks Naruto.

Kid:

1) Ranma 1/2
2) Dragonball
3) Yu-gi Oh!

Comments: I liked dragonball (anime) when I was five, but I wouldn't go back to watching it. Ranma may seem like a more mature title outside of the cultural origin, but the violence is simply comical. I also heard that Yu-gi Oh was a bit more violent in the manga, and I have seem somewhat editted anime of the show, and I could see this title being an example of some quality action title, but as I said, these titles, other than Ranma, don't interest me more than the titles I have already mentioned in the beginning and middle of my post.

Gantz is the best action manga. It is also so violent and some ecchi part lol.
