I'm 16, though I'm told I look 18. I can't see it though. _________________ "We're not God. Not only are our powers limited, we sometimes are driven to become the devil himself."

i'm 14, but people sat I have the maturity level of an adult, and that I look 16, I guess because I'm tall. But I think I have a really young kid face. _________________ [img:400:224:9a48d672c1]http://comalies.free.fr/images/ergoproxy.jpg[/img:9a48d672c1]

Is it just me or does it seem all the 14 year olds on this topic all seem to think they're much more mature than what their age lends them to be.
14 year olds acting like 20 year olds *shrugs*
How do you act 20?
What's a 20 year old like behavior?
I don't know about you guys, but most 20 year olds or people in their 20s aren't too bright. If they were you wouldn't be seeing stupid people doing stupid things while drunk (by the way don't use the excuse that the ones doing the stupid drunk stuff are underage)
I guess all the 14 year olds are getting drunk and passing out at bars, wondering "dude where's my car!?"
Just because you don't FLAME, TROLL, or use AOL SPEAK doesn't make you a mature adult. It just makes you a kind and decent human being who is considerate of others. _________________ Go Gitaroo-Man, go fight the mighty piano ships with your mighty Guitar AXE! |

hey man... im about to turn 20... it just depends on the person... there are alot of really imature 14 year olds.. just like there are really imature 20 year olds. its just the type of person you are.. but i think people in there 20s that still act like teenagers are really in denial cause the fact that you are 20 and above means that you are no longer a kid and everything you do you do for yourself... there will be nobody to take care of you and give you money and pay for your stuff... its all on you. You have to work to pay for your bills like rent, elec., water, food, clothes, etc. It just really sucks if look at it but there are a lot of good things to it too. But we all must find that for ourselves... _________________ "Our friends should be companions who inspire us, who help us rise to our best." |

Just because you pay the bills doesn't make you a mature individual. I think people are mistaking being responsible with being mature. Being responsible is part of being mature, but its not all. I guess it all depends on your definition of maturity.
No matter how old you are none of you will ever be completely mature. Reaching and attaining maturity is the biggest farce there is. One time or another we will act selfish and inconsiderate of others. If you don't believe me, look at your own parents. Just because you are a parent, or legal adult doesn't make you mature, nor is it possible to be mature 100% of the time. As we grow older we gain more responsibilities. As long as we take care of those responsibilities we'll do ok in life. People still do stupid things no matter how old they are and no matter how mature you think you are. Most old people understand this. Ask your grandparents (hopefully they're not senile), and they'll tell you many things about life, and how some things aren't as concrete as it seems when you're young. An adult is still a human being, with faults and weaknesses. As we grow into adults we are still trying to attain that level maturity that young people assume automatically attain with age. It's a never ending process that really doesn't have a solid definition.
In my opinion it's not about how mature you are, but of how considerate and responsible we are to others and oneself. _________________ Go Gitaroo-Man, go fight the mighty piano ships with your mighty Guitar AXE! |

haha hey im 14, and ill admit im immature xD, i think i even look less than my actual age. for the 14 A movies i always have to show my i.d because they dont believe me haha. but its fun being young until you reach all those responsiblities you've mentioned earlier that your parents wont take care for you anymore. looking than you actually are isnt that much of a good thing, most ppl i know would expect you to act more mature and then tehy looked shocked when you do something stupid haha.. time sure goes by fast tho eh? _________________ °°☆★LucKy Se7en___ |
