You'd probably enjoy Utawarerumono the most. I've only seen one episode, but it was pretty good. It seems to be quite popular right now. Has people with dog-ears and tails and plenty of Edo-Era sword-fighting
Samurai Champloo is another easily-available one since it's on Adult Swim. Animevgirl wrote an article on it: animevgirl's Samurai Champloo In-Depth Review
others that you might like:
- Mai-HiME (modern-day, mixed-weapons, school-setting, cute girls)
- The Peacemaker (only saw a few episodes, but really enjoyed it)
- Scrapped Princess (a medieval themed one... has magic and mech and junk like that)

Yeah Tenjou tenge anime is mostly the flashback.
Current Shonen anime beside Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece. you could try one piece, its got swords.
I dun think you'd like Scrapped princess if you felt R-Kenshin was too sappy.
I'd mention Konjiki no Gash Bell as it was shonen manga, but I doubt it is the proper thing you desire. Sorta like Shaman king, which you could try.
Really I'd look into stuff that is or was in Shonen Jump or Shonen sunday, or other shonen manga... and see if you like it. |

Yeah I tried One Piece...but it was ehhh for me. I really liked two arc...the Arlong Arc and the one with Chopper.
But the I got upto the Arabasta ARC and it just dragged on way too long..and I bored of it.
Sorry, but what is Shonein Jump or Shonen Sunday? Is that some type of magazine? |

Hiya people. I'm looking for some anime similar to YYH, Kekkashi, or Ghost hunt. The whole supernatural(or magical in some cases) based thing during modern times. It woud be great if you know of one with some fighting scenes, but it isn't A must as long as their some sort of action.
A good action/adventure anime (not something like Inyasha or FMA) would be great if you know of some. Something kind of like HunterXHunter is also something I would love to watch.
I'm also looking for a musicalish anime or an anime that leans on the artsy side, kind of like "La Corda D'Oro ~primo passo~" "Princess tutu" and "Glass mask".

hey guyz just finished Beck this week so im searching for a good anime like this one dont want too lolita or girlish anime i want is more like little comedy almost serious characters

I loved Beck as well. People recommended NANA for those that loved Beck. Haven't gotten around to watching it though. |

yo, ive been trying to dig up some hello kitty and doraemon for my kid to watch. this way she can watch some good ole wholesome japanese cartoons for kids.
if anyone has the doraemon movies / tv series or kitty-chan movies/ tv series let me know.
