Thanks Red, I watched the first episodes of all those shows, but neither one of them actually cought my attention, I guess it's the heroine-falls-inlove-with-boy-and-saves-the-world type of genre that catches my eyes, and I can't stand those older animes like that berserker, the animation is poo.
haha would it be to much to ask for anyone that recognize my type of show that actually can give me some awesome show.
Something along the lines of Claymore, Shakugan No Shana and Fate/Stay Night!
I'd truly appriciate it if someone can heed my call! :D
Try out Baccano or Full Metal Alchimest. _________________

Yeah i agree with trueline FMA is an absolute must watch in the anime world, you can't go wrong with classics like evangelion or gundam either _________________ [img:350:100:b9d927e767]http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/tehalbino/gaara2.png[/img:b9d927e767]
I used to be a huge anime watcher since i was a kid, then i slowly lost interest few years ago.
but now i really want to watch some since i have time to spare and was just reading an article that mentioned about Last Exile.
i've seen a lot of anime before 2002 in all kinds of genres eg.
[Naruto,Bleach,Slam dunk, yakitate jpn, Stelvia, Mai-Hime, Elfen Lied, Gundam seed, GTO, Death note, samurai champloo, love hina].
so if anyone could help recommend me something and get me back into some anime, that would be awesome.

my favourites on the top of my head i've seen are like cowboy bebop, last exile, Fullmetal alchemist.
I somehow feel like watching something thats very similar to last exile or steamboy - the alternative dystopian world era type of thing.
or
more realistic type of anime like Planetes or Beck or The Girl that Leap through time etc.
or
maybe even something so good on the level of FMA and cowboy bebop.
so any recommendations that fall into those categories in the last 5 years or so?
i've did a bit of searching myself, and Code Geass quite interested me, as well as Eureka 7 and Xamdou? i hear its by the ppl who made FMA. But any others?

Anyone know of any anime's that are computer based, with someone that's really good with a computer?
Kind of like BPS without the little girl obsession.
mojohojo check out the anime reviews page, there's a 50 item list with most of the anime's being old enough that you've probably seen them before.
That's pretty much how things seem to be going. Not much worth watching has come out lately. Personally i've been watching Touru no majtsu index, lately but that's just for lack of anything better to watch.
Although GTO was pretty good if it's newer i can't remember.

Xam'd is definitely worth watching. It's probably my favorite of this spring. You might also check out Texhnolyze if your into something a bit more intense. I could kind of see it taking place in a city in the Cowboy Bebop underworld.
As far as just really good anime you haven't seen/might not know about from the last 5 years or so, Mushishi, Noein - Mo Hitori no Kimi e –, Dennou Coil, and Baccano! have all stood out to me.

Have you checked out Serial Experiments Lain? It's kind of out there, but I definitely think it fits the criteria. Dennou Coil sort of has a hacking/virtual universe theme to it as well.

Can anybody give me a run down of the new shows they've been watching this season. So far I've checked out Xam'd and the new Hajime no Ippo, and I've been keeping up with Soul Eater, but what else is out there that deserves watching?
hello all
i am looking for an anime with some psychological tricks.
it doesnt have to be psychological thriller, i have seen/i am seeing at the moment: one outs, kaiji, monster, akagi and death note.

I think Sci-Fi Harry can go as a recomendation there. Genre is Drama, Horror i think, and well, it's basiclly about a guy with psycich powers. Not seen much of it myself, but what i saw seemed decent.
Anyway, I'M looking for a anime with about the same themes as Juuni Kokki and Utawarerumono. Fantasy, building kingdoms, etc. If there is noone more, just something alike. Something like Fate/Stay night would also be nice. I've noticed that alot of animes that are made after Visual Novel games (like Fate/stay night AND Utawarerumono) usually are good, so if you know any good game too, it would be an welcome recomendation. _________________ BAKUHATSU KOOHII

Of course those are the two big ones for that genre. Some other decent anime that have that at least a kind of "magical kingdom/fantasy" theme are Samurai 7 and Jyuushin Enbu, and I think Claymore may fit with something along the lines of Fate/Stay Night. Hope that helps.
