In alot of east asian cultures, there is a belief that personalities can be affected by one's blood type, much in the same way that some in western culture believe that the date of your birth can determine personality. I have listed summaries of the personalities associated with each type below.
My question is this: What is your blood type, and how closely would you say that these personality profiles fit you based on that?
I'm type B. And I can see some accuracies. I am a bit eccentric, and do have a tendancy to obsess over what I enjoy. I do like to see things through to the end, I do like to throw aside social customs, I am curious about many things. And I can be spunky and energetic.
However, I also see that I have some characteristics of Type AB blood. I do distance myself from people I dont really know, and I do have a sort of dual personality. Around people I dont know well, I am very quiet and withdrawn, whereas I am very open and energetic around my close friends.
Type O: Optimistic, outgoing and social. Harmony promoters of any group, big hearted, and can be easily swayed by the opinions of others, but will defend what they truly care about with unswaying stubborness. They are often portrayed as being the airheads of a group, who come up with crazy ideas and make big mistakes, but always end up reaping huge rewards, and also bring alot of comic relief.
If you are type O, then you have the same blood as characters like Vash the Stampede (Trigun), Asuka (Neon Genesis Evangelion), Tohru (Fruits Basket), Sakura (Naruto), Kaoru (Rouroni Kenshin)
Type A: Hard Working and good at planning ahead. Calm and level-headed, the type you can always rely on. They have clear goals, and work hard to achieve them, and are often perfectionists. They are also shy, and like to keep to themselves. Once they are done with something, they may withdraw from emotional contact, and can concequently seem to be rather cold. They are the ones you can look to to get things done.
Anime characters with Type A blood include Shinji (Neon Genesis Evangelion) Heero (Gundam Wing), Vegeta (Dragonball Z), Sakura (Cardcaptor Sakura), Kira (Gundam SEED), Naru (Love Hina)
Type B: Very curious and energetic. Type B's will often choose a topic that interests them, and obsess over it till they are experts. They will always see things through till the end, no matter how difficult the task may be. They are not always aware of the concequences of their actions, which can lead to trouble at times. They through social customs aside, and are often spunky and full of energy. They often make fantastic leader, but are also good for underdog heroes.
Characters who are type B include: Naruto (Naruto), Goku (DBZ), Faye (Cowboy Bebop), Chang Wufei (Gundam Wing), Kaname (Full Metal Panic)
Type AB: For anything that doesnt seem to fit with the others, there's type AB blood. ABs are very emotional. They are respectful of the opinions and feeling of others, and are very careful around them, unless the other is a close friend. Then, ABs can be fairly harsh. They can often be concidered to have a dual personality, showing one side to people they know, and another side to others, and are often at the whim of their surroundings. They often find a place as the male stars of Harem animes, goofy and crazy characters, or as either dark, brooding heroes, or villians who are bound by honour and chivallry.
Type AB characters include: Sasuke (Naruto), Keitaro (Love Hina), Gohan (DBZ), Ryoko (Tenchi Muyo), Kenshin (Rouroni Kenshin), Trowa (Gundam Wing), Ed (Cowboy Bebop)

I knew about these blood type personalities since I was little, so I can roughly guess which blood type an anime character might have.
I'm type B too, but I didn't expect Naruto to be B. Naruto has more of type O personality.

I don't believe in it...I mean, seriously, my personality can fit into all four blood groups if thats the case.

Naruto is energetic, curious, throws customs to the wind, and and underdog hero. So in that sense, he fits.
BTW, I never intended these to be taken seriously. As we have been finding out, alot of people seem to fit into multiple catagories (like Pyro. Then again, its hard to tell with Pyro )
The one that I was most surprised was a B type character was Wufei. Then again, when i think about it, he and I do have somewhat simlar personalities, so....
NE way, I've never been the type of person to take things like this and horoscopes seriously. Some of them fit in, Im calm and level-headed most of the time, the type you can always count on fits in as well not always since it depends on counting on me. If it's a total stranger I've never met that just comes up and asks a favor of me I probably wouldn't do it. Im abit of a perfectionist, shy yes, keep to myself sometimes. Withdraw emotional contact and can seem cold, from time to time.
Hardworking... in my personal life I can't say Im that hardworking but as soon as it's about job or something that people are counting on me to fix Im pretty much hardworking. Plan ahead not really I don't even know where to go from here. Sometimes sure I plan ahead a little but I prefear to take things as they come and not dwel on it so much. Clear goals... no I don't have any clear goals at the moment as things are pretty messed up and strange right now. A goal... is still in there somewhere but clear... no

I'm definetly a blood type A. I'm a really shy person, but I consider myself a hard worker, and I'm usually pretty level-headed about things. i'm a total perfectionist at everything I do. It irritates me so bad when I don't put every little detail into something I'm doing! Some people at my school say I never smile, I never talk, and that I am always depressed.
