Say that when ur older and ul regret it. I plan on studying medical science 8 years in college 4 in medical schools and becoming a doctor (meh nothing specific yet) I also wanna be a author maybe in spare time i love to write also. |
wo... 8 years post 2ndary before doing medicine? thats enough for u to get a bachelor, a master and a PhD!! i call that an overqualification.. good luck with that..
i find it amusing how ppl always have misconceptions about school. in highschool, ppl say that they'll work hard so that they can get into a univ and then slack off. but once they're there, they say to themselves that they'll work hard so they can slack off in med/grad/law school... then once they're in, they realize they have to work hard again so they can slack off once they graduate..... once graduated, they realize they have no time to slack off... once u start, there's no stopping it haha...
as for myself, i get my MD degree in 2.5 years.. scary... |

Hmm? It takes 7 years of studying to practice medicine legally...
If you're really good, it only takes 6!! _________________ [img:309:200:9b3695521e]http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8583/dobedobedojs0.jpg[/img:9b3695521e] |

it depends on where you are and what field u enter after your med undergrad years.
some med schools are direct entry from high school (mostly places outside NA), where as others require at least 2,3, or 4 years of undergrad before they accept you into the undergrad program of medicine - that is, med school. once you get into med school, its usually 4 years before u graduate and earn ur MD degree and get to be called a "doctor" (mine happens to be 3y but with no summers). after that, u do residency and depending on what u want to do, the number of years differ. family med for ex is the shortest and is 2 years in Canada where I live, and 3 years in the US I'm told. if u want to specialize, then u need to put in more years.
the original post i refered to mentioned doing 8 years of school before applying to med school which as u said is another 6-7 years for becoming a family doctor depending on where u are |

I have a bachelor's degree is criminal social psychology. I've been out of school for 18 months and unemployed for 6... boooo!! Well, I shouldn't say unemployed cause I work part-time for my town's fire department, but I'm working on starting a career in emergency management. I heard the job for the head of FEMA is open, haha. _________________

Yesh.tHat's a good career choice. You see, in the future, they will replace doctors with computers.
The silicon wafer industry is also flourishing....There will be lots of jobs for ya......Assuming few people also make this career choice _________________ [img:309:200:9b3695521e]http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8583/dobedobedojs0.jpg[/img:9b3695521e] |

Every career is being replaced by computers. It's hella scary, haha. I saw an article on how some tech firm is creating an interactive software program to have computers replace school teachers. Soon even computer inventors, designers, and manufacturers will be replaced by computers. It's only a matter of time before the computers realize they don't need us humans anymore.
This will lead to one of two outcomes: a Matrix type world in which humans will be harvested for their BTU energy or a South Park trapper keeper type world in which humans will be destroyed. Either way, it's bad, we must fight now!! ::smashes calculator on desk... stomps on alarm clock.... looks at computer.... ummm, it's kinda expensive... plus it has all my anime on it... the computer can wait until later....:: _________________
