Are you able to enjoy silence and calm atmospheres or do you always have to be around excitement? Can you yourself be silent for a long time or do you always have something to say? Where are your places of solitude (if you have any), special or not?
I personally love secluded, preferrably warm areas. I don't talk very much, so I am all for silence and just listening to better understand those around me. A favorite place of solitude for me is Borders Books & Music at my mall. My friend and I often go there, sit in the children's section, and just enjoy the time away from being at the noisy arcade. We both draw, and I write, so that is an ideal place for me, as I am still hoping for the perfect work area one day in my own apartment/home. _________________ [IMG:240:120:b0be737b07]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v195/Alexiel-sama/misuzudies.gif[/img:b0be737b07]

i like to be with myself all the time. i like being lonely. already get used to.
if i have some friends around me, i could have some good times. but as a listener. not the talker.

| i've always felt the need to be quiet, because me talking will just make things worse...but thankfully, that's only how i feel, though solitude is what i prefer most of time |

I miss solitude.
I used to live on a fairly secluded farm when I was little. All you could hear were some animals and wind.
Now I've been living in city for 8 years and it's constantly noisy.
I hear noise level affects your health. I want quieter place to live... _________________ [IMG:258:200]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ypark/sigs/3fsn.png[/img] |

You could always put on some headphones and listen to some ocean breezes while staring at a picture of a green hill. lol.
Usually, surrounding atmospheres don't really bother me. Noisy places such as school hallways never really come to my attention anyways. Solitude is a yes for me. _________________

I don't like complete silence. I'm one who's always listening to some music or just talking to other because of his fear of silence. I like to be alone quite a bit though. _________________ [img:450:200:d0a28f8b61]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/9979.jpg[/img:d0a28f8b61]

I'm really different from that. In order to properly focus all my energies on any sort of creative work, I must have the perfect ambience of surrounding comfort and silence to not be distracted. Feng shui is a big necessity. I used to be able to work and write anywhere, but now, there is so much calling my attention that as long as there is a computer in the same room as me, I can't resist going on and making my usual rounds.
Solitude away from technology, but not away from technology (e.g. a small, sparsely furnished comfort room with a door, a window, a work desk, lamp light, and comfortable chair, while the computer is in a completely different room) is something that I have been desiring ever since I discovered its overwhelming importance.
And just to add, I like being alone quite often myself, but the times when I do need someone near me, it's usually not the person I want...or no one at all. _________________ [IMG:240:120:b0be737b07]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v195/Alexiel-sama/misuzudies.gif[/img:b0be737b07]

For me, olitude is usually in these few places:
1) My own room
Sometimes I really need the solitude in my room to think about something. This is the best place for me for good imagination place where I can do a lot of things: programming, solving problem, software problem, etc.
2) Coffee drinking place.
Some like Starbucks, Coffee Bean, etc. This place is usually for me to relax my mind off my days and times and I especially like the one that is a bit secluded.
3) Swimming pool at night.
This is usually when I need my solitude time to really think things through the day and also to enjoy the blowing wind of the nite.
4) Library/Book Shop.
Some like the library and book shop like Borders or Kinokuniya. These places is really good to really enjoy sitting down while doing a lot of things like reading, talking to friends, etc.
I go to each one of them, depending on the mood and also the time of the day and week =) _________________
