uhhh i don't call them ghosts, but wandering spirits... and if in that contex then yes, i have seen one... well sorta.. a bad kind... possessing our maid in the philippines.. scary stuff... _________________
I think seeing the paranormal depends if you beleive it or not. For instance, say you just came home from a scary movie, like a really scary movie, not some cheap flick. Neways, so you came home from a movie and everything is dark outside. Of course you're gonna start thinking you've seen things like objects or shadows moving around with the corner of your eye. Now if you just came home from a very humorous comedy film and it also happens to be dark. You wouldn't notice shadows or anything.
That's why scary movies utilize the use of music and very dark scenery to create a scary atmosphere. There are some clips on the internet where they make trailors out of comedies and make it seem scary. I'm not sure what the site was, I think it was collegehumor.
So in conclusion, I do not beleive ghosts exist but if they did..then would I be in trouble for calling them myths? Uh oh...
Not in particular. But I won't say that it isn't possible because that's going to mean that I'll probably get caught with a really evil one. Just my luck too.

i dont really know if its a ghost since i just saw a shadow pass by the window of our room, but i think it is! since our room is on the second floor and there are no trees near our window nor any pillars to support the "person" who wants to scare me.. though my sister refuse to believe it since she's scared of ghost too _________________ [img:297:200:b66865e3ee]http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a256/hayren/zabzab.jpg[/img:b66865e3ee]
Wait, it just occured to me that the topic is "have you seen a real ghost before", well...how do you know if it's a real ghost?
There's this one pretty freaky clip my friend sent me a while back where some guy brought his video camera with him into a cemetary and he was shouting at someone crouching near a grave. Well "it" turned around and you can see it for a second, the eye was kinda shiny and he just ran and kept screaming... don't know if it's real but it's probibly set up.

close, except... a poltergeist is not a spirit. It is a physical manifestation of a person's most subsconscious thoughts. The people who usually are "haunted" by them are usually under a lot of stress, but don't do anything about it (ie, get therapy). I don't remember the exact details on how or why it happens, but the stressed individual unknowingly creates psychic phenomena that can be harmful to themselves and others.
I saw a case study about this on one of those ghost hunting shows on the Discovery Channel or something. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)
xeno> correct, i cant beleive that i forgot to add that in my last post...
i think i made my point based on the threats of Esther Cox's poltergiest being a spirit rather than a manifestation.
but most of the cases regarding poltergiest ARE and do revolve around stressed individuals. i think it was something about their psychic brainwaves or something.
i dunno, id have to go read up on it. _________________ [img:567:138:151453bb6b]http://www.anime-source.com/upload/uploadFiles/wahagifsda.gif[/img:151453bb6b]

First of all, I certainly do believe in ghosts, and pretty much the supernatural in general. I delved into satanism, wicca, and stuff like that for a while, and during that short time I seemed to attract a LOT of spiritual attention. Apparenly my mother has the same problem, so I may have inherited it from her. I went with her on a few journeys and even an exorcism once. I have seen some really scary stuff in my day. As a total, I have been haunted by at least 6 spirits, all of which have been fairly powerful as far as I could tell. At least 3 were demons, and 2 were ghosts for sure, but one I have no clue what it was. It was just creepy... anyways I will share those stories when I have the time to type it out. The one that freaked me out the most was most definitely the demon at my cousins house though. Some of you know that story already. _________________ Miku Miku!!

I've been an Irish Celtic Pagan for over 15 years (long before it was cool to be a "witch"). This may sound weird to you but I'm the type that I can believe in something like ghosts .... but I don't always believe that just because something doesn't have an easy explaination right off that it is something "creepy". It's an attitude that has pretty much pissed of quite a few people in the "Pagan community" that tend to fly off the handle and look for supernatural causes for everything (No you are not cursed with bad relationships, it's only that you only go out with the "bad boy" type all the time or No you didn't just take a picture of an "orb", there are a LOT of bugs flying around, your "orb" looks like a june bug to me). If I hear a noise I go check out where it came from, If I see something I go where it is and look for why it's there (trick of the light etc.).
I have seen a couple of things that had me stumped for an explaination. The last time I was at work and was looking at the building across the street when I saw a shadowy human like figure about 3 feet high moving across a solid solid door from behind one bush and vanish behind another. The light sources were not bright enough to cast that dark a shadow and there were no cars out at the time. Also the bushes that the figure came out of and disappeared behind were right up against the building with no room for someone to move behind and no one came out the other side of the bushes. Make of it what you will but I had no natural explaination for that one. Oh, and I wasn't scared. I know stuff like that can't hurt me so it doesn't creep me out.

I think ive seen a couple of ghost before. My great grandma is part Indian and she would tell me stories that her mom would tell her. One night wile I was at home with my brother we were watching Endless Waltz and we saw some guy just standing at my door. Then he just vanished it was spookey. so yea i believe in ghost but i think they are just spirits or souls that have no where to go _________________ Blackhowlin1000 is everywhere

oh, I just remembered this. Even though it wasn't me directly who has seen this happen, apparently when our family's ghost "visits" my grandparents, their front door flings wide open in the middle of the night... despite it being deadbolted and having a decent doorknob. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)

Well just to make a long story short, here is one of my ghost stories.
I was asleep in my bed, my girlfriend had not come home yet. All of a sudden I jolted awake. When I looked over to my right I saw a ghost with a blue aura around him. If im not mistaken blue means hes just sad. It was a guy, with what looked like overalls and some sort of pipe, like indoor plumbing style pipe. He stood there for a while. But all of a sudden just rushed at me, and passed right through me. Before he did this I was scared, but after he passed through me I felt nothing but sadness and pity for him. My emotions changed completely once he touched me. I remember wondering how I could help him, then I fell back asleep. _________________ Miku Miku!!
