Remember my encounter with the red aura ghosts? On Halloween? Damn that was freaky. I had never been so scared in my life to be honest with you. Well minus one time I though Julie had left me but besides that nope. _________________ Miku Miku!!

I've never seen a ghost but I heard stories that ghosts are common in places where POWs are held during World War II. _________________

Meh....I dont believe in ghosts.
Maybe if I watch like a scary movie marathon, I might get a lil paranoid. But that's it. _________________

though i haven't seen any i believe they are there... well i would much prefer to term them as apparitions or wandering spirits instead of ghosts... ghosts tend to remind me of those cliche ish kinda stuff on tv and stories... _________________

Anyway, a few stories from my house. I had an uncle who was pronounced dead at 4am and now we have strange noises that happen in our house around that time. I've only noticed him in my room once, but I didn't actually see him. I could hear him and "feel" his pressence, kinda felt like a normal person just walking around my room in the middle of the night. He stayed for about an hour (or so it seemed) and he watched the fish in my aquarium (like 2 feet from my head) and he also stared at my GhostBusters movie poster (how ironic?). But my brother has seem him plenty of times, says he glows yellow. Other people have seen it in different rooms at different times... man, they get so freaked out.

What do you say when they tell you what they've seen?
-I saw a ghost last night.
-oh, that's just my uncle.
I believe in them cuz I've seen them, there is three different ghosts that I see frequently. Both my brothers and me see our grandfather and grandmother brcause we were close and they practicly raised us siknce we were kids and I like to think that they like to check on us and see that we're doing ok.
And the third is my ol' buddy Dannie, he usually just appear when I'm alone, it looked like he tried to speak once, he opened his mouth but there was no sound. He usually likes to mess around in my room like switching the tv on and off. _________________ Mankind was blessed with curiosity and cursed with greed.

yeah pretty much. When I tell people here at work about the phenomenon I witness (stuff moving, strange noises) on the night shift, they just shrug and say "oh, it's just old Joe." Kinda gives you the sense that it's "normal" and nothing to be afraid of.

that's cool that you can turn a potentially terrifying situation into something comforting. I get that feeling from time to time, but it's just the thought of a dead person standing next to me that makes my blood turn cold.

sounds like he's trying to get your attention. Try talking to him and see if he points at something or does anything like that

My friends often say I'm too calm for my own good in some situations, but everytime I face someone who threatens me I just think in my mind "They're only humans, no more dangerous than me". Although, ghosts aren't humans anymore, they're spirits, but the reason i can remain calm when they "visit" is because I know in my heart that they would never try to hurt me in any way. But the first time I got a visit from my pal I got so freaked out I froze up, couldn't move an inch. Cause, let's be honest, we've all watched ghost movies like the grudge and one missed call, but it isn't anything like in the movies. Atleast not what I've experienced, but I can't say I wanna experience what TrueAncestor did on halloween.
Though I have thought about taking a trip to the borley rectory and see if I can encounter som other spirits, could be interesting. _________________ Mankind was blessed with curiosity and cursed with greed.

nice, be sure to come back and tell us all about it
I'm gonna see about going to the Old John Stone's Inn in Ashland, MA. It is supposedly one of the most haunted places in all of New England. My dad used to live about 300-400 feet away from it. I mentioned this somewhere in another thread... hmmm... _________________
