Japan is at war and the justice system can not prosecute violent criminals. The solution to this problem resides in the new law, the "Vengeance Act". The relatives or friends of the victims have to kill the criminals by hiring people to do or by killing the criminals themselves. If the criminal defends himself with a gun that the government will sent them or some outside means, the criminal is set free of his charges and can no longer be killed legally. This is the backstory of the Japan; a country also in a recession that forces the main character Hiroshi to take up the dangerous job of being a hired gun for the victim's peers.

Hiroshi also has his new co-worker, Higuchi; she looks exactly like a girl he speaks to in a cafe but none of the waitresses can see the girl sitting across his table. This series ranks above gantz in mature content.

So whom else has given this manga a try? I have read the first five volumes.

It was awesome. I haven't heard of the author updating or anything, so it could be cancelled, which is unfortunate. I remember that it's next scheduled release was supposed to coincide with Homunculus, but as the next volume of Homunculus has shown its face with Freesia lacking, I am worried.

A lot of really good series seem to be dying off without updates... G Senjou Heaven's Door... Holyland... Freesia... Meh.

yea i read it at www.omanga.com i thought it was good is more of a psychological manga concerned with the mind cause that dude is fukd in the head but i enjoyed and is like way over gantz
