Why do you like Anime?

You know, I haven't really thought about this thoroughly. There's no definite reason, it's because I enjoy it really. Perhaps because I was looking for a new and unique hobby compared with my friends. Or perhaps the cute animation lured me in. The Japanese music also deserves credit. Anime music is always unique, just a few seconds of the introduction and you'll definately be able to identify which song it is. It's hard to mix up one song with others.

Also, the beautiful art gets me making layouts and the like. Anime is a cartoon, but then there are mature themes in some, so I guess I could be sticking with anime for a while. The stories try to be as unique as possible, and sometimes come out really surprising.

I don't know: The reason I like anime, just because...

Anime is different, deeper and more serious then regular north american comic. I love the fact that a story takes time to develop, they come up with some of the craziest ideas, and are definetely made both for adults and kids. There's a few contries in europe also, that has this type of deeper stories, but Anime has a style that's theirs.

Instead of here, north america, where comics are for kid (beside a few exception). I used to collect the Marvels and DC comics, but I got tired of the part 1 of 4, and the typical patttern you found in all of them. In anime, stories take the time they take and that's it, I really appreciate that.

My first contacts with Anime was some saturday morning cartoons (Goldorak, Albator(Harlock) and Captain Flam). On paper, I was introduced to Jademan's comics, done with ink, like (Buddha's Palm). I just fell in love but just stated going back to it because of your site.

I like anime cos i like all things jap and i think some of the stories and lives of the characters in the anime are only things that we can dream about in real life which is hard for us to achieve, but watching anime helps us to de-stress also

I watch anime for numerous reasons, it all depends on the anime i'm watching. Some just to see gore and non-real fights, other times to laugh at the insanity of it, or also to think deeper about things i normally wouldn't. All in all, my main reason is just to be entertain. Not like with american's shows and comics that have no real definate story nor end, but with good story telling, beatifull art, and good character development that do have a conclusion of it all as it takes you along with the journey of those characters.

Much deeper than American cartoons I like the way how characters develop throught out the story and get stronger. I also find that some American cartoonist are starting to catch the idea with new shows like Xailin Showdown-I am sure I did not spell that right.

hmm..nice question...why do i like anime? because of the way they are created...in an almost perfect kind of figures and the way the story line goes kinda like moves you...

People often have a preconceived notion about anime that its for kids. 'Oh wow, Im gonna watch Dragonball like a kid'. Well I admit I watched DBZ myself and others before actually getting into anime. The first anime I saw that completely changed my look on it was Ninja Scroll. All those who have seen it know what Im talking about, and all those who havent seen it, need to! Anime to me is like a ever widening story that depending how deep I want to go, be it, only a few OVA's like Ah! My Goddess!! or a few seasons like Kenshin can tell a, for the most part, complete story and not cost a million dollars and yes, be a 'cartoon' designed for adults.

I like Anime becaus there anithing is posible and sometimes it looks soooooooo beter than reality.

i prefer the drawing style of anime... I dunno why, it just seems more intresting
