I got a short story there called Dreamworld.
A product of a crazy mind....
As for the artwork Girl with a Sword....
I noticed that many loved that artwork despite the irritating waist. _________________ "please let me work"

I love that Motoko fanart! I hope it'll have wallpaper-friendly size when it's finished as I'd love to put it on my desktop |

I like a lot of your work and clearly a lot of time goes into them. One thing that I notice that is pretty continual is your detail...in fact I think this is the first time I've really ever looked at something and thought perhaps there was TOO much detail. You get lost in everything that's there and there's too much clutter. Clean lines go a long way.
I don't mean to say your work is bad...because it's quite good. Just tone down the number of fabric folds and little nick nacks because really it distracts from the picture it's self. Like with your link picture. I think a lot of the ripped torn and tattered cloth is unecissary and there are deffinatly too many folds in his pants. With the picture as a whole the body position...mostly because of the legs...is very odd.
Not bashing you or anything... just trying to help ^__^ |

| i...for one...love all the detail. once colored it helps alot. but i think you should start using open canvas instead of gimp. it is also freeware. i also think you shouldn't cg color a pice when the linework is done in pencil. get some tech pens or even better....try pc inking your pics b4 you color them. like tomwa said, clean lines go a long way. i think if you cleaned up the lines good your pieces would be absolutely beautiful. |

Well being a poor guy like I am (and being only a beginner GIMP user)....
I USE BALL PEN TO INK!!!
And I clean it up on Gimp afterwards
As for the folds and stuff, yeah the detailing is kinda too much sometimes
But hey did you see the Woman with Glasses (if it's still there)?
Oh and I don't color an artwork until I inked it.
NO NO NO
The Link Returns and Desperate Battle are inked (with ballpen) first before I scanned them again to color.
Oh and I almost forgot, yeah I kinda agree with Link's body position (and the awkward angled sheathe) _________________ "please let me work"

| i remarked mebbe they weren't inked because once you color them the lines look so scratchy. and you should seek out open canvas because it's free.....and much better than gimp. i will still say you should try a tech pen...they are about $3 a piece.....get a .05 one and you'll be good to go. |

I need help...
I don't know where to find Open Canvas that's freeware.
The one on the official web site is version 2 & 3 which are both shareware.
And NO I don't wanna use those cracks (for version 2 & 3) I've been reading about on other forums.
I heard version 1 is free but I dunno where to get it (or at least not yet).
I'll appreciate it if anyone could tell me how to find it.
Thank you very much _________________ "please let me work"

| I found a link to Open Canvas 1.1 -- http://home.cwru.edu/~nxl25/downloads/opencanvas.exe . The only thing is it might be in another language so it has the weird symbols that appear if you don't have a language pack installed. |
