Half Life 2

i recently installed this half life 2 game but after i installed it i can't open the game, each time i tried to open the game it pop a msg saying failed to load the launcher DLL: the specified module could not be found.

i am currently using windows XP pro edition, amd sempron 3200+ 1.00ghz and 512mb of ddr ram
pls help me with solve the problem!

does it say what dll file youre missing? if it does, type in the name of the dll file into google and there is high probablity that you will find the file you are missing, other wise if you haven't tried reinstalling it then do so. but first search for the dll file

Make sure you completely uninstall the game. Try to reinstall it may have been just a installation error.

Can you please answer some questions which might help you:

1. What graphics card are you using?
2. Have you updated to DirectX 9.0c?
3. Have you updated your graphics card drivers?

Since your using a sempron processor and only have 512 of ram I assume your not much of a gamer. If you are then please oh please upgrade to 1 gig of ram.
