hey just wondering what everyone thought about the manga out there ....sure full metal alchemist, gantz, death note and all those trippy mangas are cool......and wonderfull and leaves just a tad homicidal.....*grin*
but at what expense to innocence? to our sanity? what do you think more angst???? |

nope its just you, following popular manga trends will lead you that way, dark manga was always there, its just that you switched around a bit found new manga that wasn't a romantic comedy and still enjoyed it, and more of it is becoming more popular since there are people who are getting tired of reading the same story with different characters (high school romantic comedies) well at least thats what i think _________________ [img:387:120:36cb7a5440]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v98/idjota/BL.jpg[/img:36cb7a5440] |

What you perceive is simply your own choices. There are plently of light manga out there, but you choose the dark ones because you enjoy them.
I enjoy a good story, and it is harder to make a happy story a good one. Those that are light and good are usually superb, however. |

well i think all manga has angst. the creators do want you to feel some sort of strong emotion from their stories and sadness is one of them. plus life isn't some nice walk in the park all the time there are some things in the way that will cause you pain. _________________

| manga is no different than art or litirature as in it tells a story and will usualy have a meaning behind it (about human nature, politics. philosofy, etc, etc). So yeah, they tend to be thinkers, even some of the lighter...sometimes (eiken has no meaning behind it except fanservice, fanservice and more fanservice). |

Ya like the post above says manga is just like literature. U read books and u enjoy it then u read another type of genre that u like and move on to those kinds then u jump to more and more. Sure there are plenty of dark mangas out there but there are also alot of comedy ones _________________
