I love that show but I keep missing it. :\
I think the most amazing one was the ping pong salvage myth. XD
By the way, why do we have to keep them far from the toilet? >.> |

| Ya you tend to learn a lot of neat stuff in this show like the faster the bullet in water the lesser its range of penetration. Though on some of their trials on the myths sometimes i think they should have tried it another way or they left out an idea that might have made it work. Though i dont really recall which eps they were. |

so 'fecal coloforms' <--(cant spell) dont form on your brush and so you dont brush your teeth with poop
I thought that no matter how far from the toilet the brushes were they still had the bacteria on them??? (even the ones in hte kitchen area) _________________ Signature, what signature?

| Mythbusters is something my physics teacher makes us watch to pass time or to learn about momentum or whatever. Those guys are really funny though. |

awesome, seems like people do watch. hehe last night's episode was pretty good.
Jamie and Adam were attempting to prove one can start a propeller plane by hand, without a pilot, and allowing it to run wild and collide into the rear of another plane, with the blades leaving vertical slice marks....that's a must watch experiment.
Also the build team were trying to make fire with some wellknown and unusual myths. 1) creating a fire with two sticks (of course), 2) creating a fire with a gun, 3) creating fire by polishing the bottom of a coke can with chocolate and directing the sun's light to focus at a point, and 4) creating fire with ICE! shaping ice into a len's to direct the sun's light to a point.....now that's crazy stuff
hope they can come up with more intriguing ideas, yes i know some of the ideas are far-fetched and are only optimal under certain conditions, but hey that makes it fun to watch and to see if they can pull it off.

Yes i watch mythbusters... and i would say it is a pretty neat show... though i tend to question their sanity once in a while...
One of my favourite features was the Jaws myths... love the blowing up the shark head thing.. hahaha...
Though recently i havent been seeing anything new... most of the time i watch reruns of their previous myth busting.. oh well, hope i get to catch new myths... they may be running out of them.. hehehe... _________________

| This show is sweet! The things they do to prove or disprove myths. But that poor doll that they use to simulate a human...it gets blown up so many times. |

It's a fun show, BUT....
their theories sometimes don't make sense. Look at the chicken gun episode; They test it over and over and over again, changing their answer every time, and yet it's not very difficult to be able to see why their ideas are faulty.
another example: car windows down or AC on is better for mileage? They only test 1 set-up of vehicle type and driving condition. It'd be just as easy to select different parameters to completely reverse the results.
Wish I could think of more right now. But regardless of their faults, still a fun show. |
