| Sorry, the codecs I got was in a pack. Try uninstalling your current Xvid codec (if you have one installed) and install this newer one http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Koepi_XviD.htm I believe this is the one that you need. I'm overlooking "fourcc" for now. Come back if you still get problems. |

I'm sorry, I don't think I can help you any further. I don't really understand why it would work on the first try and not after that. Not that you're doomed to never convert ever again... There's one solution and that is to start from scratch (uninstalling every codecs you've installed and installing new ones that you need). May take you a thousand tries and reboots, or maybe a reformat, but you will be able to convert again. It's really hard when I don't really know what other stuff are installed on your computer and what aren't installed. Also, which programs or codecs are having conflict with each other.
Also, encoding video takes a lot of processing power. That's why it takes a long time and this is why people buy faster computers. |

It is not the program's fault. Video itself requires a lot of resources to be able to be played in the system. If you got lousy specification, then it will take longer time to encode. Encoding itself will take huge amount of resources regardless of how good the program is. _________________

bleh i kinda have the same problem but i think i just screwed up. Some files reencode perfectly without problems but for sum reason shakugan no shana wont burn at all ( NoOoO). I guess i just need to try again some other day since it takes soooo long to re-encode stuff. oh and the speed of re-encoding all depends on ur processors speed.
EDIT: ok i tried buring shakugan no shana over and over again but i get th same error message. After its done to reencode a error message pops up saying something about "failing the authoring process". |

its windvd from intervideo that came with my dvd burner. maybe this program isnt good. i dont know since this is the first and only program i ever used. the only thing different about shakugan no shana is that its xvid instead of dvix. _________________ [img:250:112:a3991f200c]http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/3880/shufflesig1qq.jpg[/img:a3991f200c]

| Yeah, I don't know anything about windvd. Nero is widely known for general use and also for burning DVD videos and such and that's what I use. |

i had the same problem a few months ago.
there is a program called showbiz 2 u do not have to convert the files from avi (or atleast i didnt) and u r able to customize it to make it your own personal dvd. it does work in dvd players and u can make it look like it might have been done by a pro. u can have a background, a main menu, chapters, ect. even add your name in the credits (not sure how to do it though). you can also add background music to all the menus but only if u download showbiz 2.
it worked for me and it might also work for u |
