For all of you who still go to school. Does any of your school libraries have a manga section?
Well, I discovered that mine does, its little, bt its there. I was lookin' around and I found Hellsing volume 1-4. I was pretty shocked that my school had such a violent manga in stock. Even though it is a high school I though it was a rather inapropriate selection, anyone agree? or am i just a wuss

I don't know how manga happened to get into your school library, but I know you would be considered conservative if you voiced such opinions. If you really want to put it in perspective; kids used to have access to much more violent and illegal things before my time. And like you said, it's a high school library, where most of the people attending already hit puberty. Compare Hellsing to some of the other mediums people have access to, and you wouldn't think hellsing is so violent anymore.
In other words, I think you're being overly sensitive. _________________ Life is an opportunity waiting to happen

No, my school sadly does not have a manga section in the library
Well, Hellsing is rated as 14+, and most people in high school are over 14, so I don't really think that that would be a problem for high schoolers. But then again, a school having a manga such as Hellsing which is violent and may offend somebody who sees it as a religious insult(since it has to do with vampires) altho I don't know who that would be, and if there were such a person I would call them over reactive, may be kinda pushing it. I have met some parents are totally against manga, even if its some kiddy manga. Some people won't let go of their belief that anime/manga is pure porn or bad influence. Anyway, I would tend to think that if a school had manga on their library shelves, it would be an "all ages" one. So I kinda agree that Hellsing is a bit of an inappropriate title, but at the same time, who really cares, cause its high schoolers who are reading it. _________________ [img:400:224:9a48d672c1]http://comalies.free.fr/images/ergoproxy.jpg[/img:9a48d672c1]
Which is worse? The madness of following Tao, or the madness of an existence without awareness?

ã?¿ã‚†ã??
My school that I went to it had manga in it, and it still does. though i never took the time to go to the library to check them out it would means having to go up stairs, but i had friends who would go to take some of them out.
yeah, my school is also where th public library is, and since its highschool there are alot of violent ones, and alot of nudity ones too ^^ they really don't care. I think they only got the manga books because the anime clib requested it...... _________________ [img:400:300:c09fe998e4]http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c175/KingDarr/twopaiswallsmallsized.jpg[/img:c09fe998e4]
