in honor of Lao Tsu

I drew this for my history teacher( and also in honor of the author Lao Tsu), but I still have to color it in. the writing on the right is a chinese translation of Lao Tsu's Tao Te Ching Chapter 81. It reads:

Truthful words are not bueatiful,
bueatiful words are not truthful
Good men do not argue
Those who argue are not good
Those who know are not learned
The learned do not know
The sage never tries to store things up
The more he does for others, the more he has
The more he gives to others, the more his abundance
The Tao of heaven is pointed but does no harm
The Tao of the sage is work without effort

Anyway, heres how it looks inked. I would appreciate comments on what I could improve on and other useful tips.
Also,can anyone tell me how I could lower the size of the whole file, and what it would actually do to the file(i.e.would it mess up the resolution) cause it seems really big.

Wow very nice very detailed. I especially like the writing on the right. If u want some criticism the only thing i have a problem is with the face it lacks detail while the rest has alot but thats only my opinion. Either way very nice

the face lacks abit of detail as compared to the rest, but on the overall, its good....

coloring would be nice....

What do you all mean by"some more detail on the face"? I tried to
add as much detail to the hair as I could, but I don't see that there's
much more I can do with the actual face. But thankx for your input-

very nice the clothes and accessories are really detailed but, as they say it lacks details on the head. The shape of the head looks like an egg, try to put some curves in between the eyes and the cheeks.

Not bad at all, I like the chinese writting, like other say you should try to improve more on face shape, expresion, eyes, nose, everything on face need to be improve a little bit, try to make is more details, not so detail but perhaps add some more emotion, facial expression face.. but overall that lovely drawing..Ike Ike N' Cheer..

I will try to keep them in mind for the next picture I draw ^-^
As for coloring the picture, I am doing that right now. It took me about 2 days to figure out what colors I wanted to use, and it will probably take me a few more days to actually color it. I'll post it up when I finish or have access to a scanner.
