Would you like to date your partner whose race is different from you but same nationality? Please state your reason.

For me, I don't know yet as I have not date before.

I'm only attracted to girls of different races actually. Not interested in the least with chinese, korean, japanese,viet etc etc girls . I like Malay and eurasian girls especially.

I don't know why. That's just the way I am.

Same here. I haven't dated before either. So different races, huh? Well, Chinese are pretty strict in choosing the partners in life of their children, especially girls. Oh yes, I've tried that. They would always give me sermons where I should look for a rich Chinese guy and help out in the family business. And I was like nodding without arguing cuz I was what...8 or 10? But now, my dad isn't very strict anymore. I dont' know, he just changed and expained to me that I should choose a decent guy and one that can support a family. Embarassed

My dad's really caring.

This is an entersting question because it is obvious that the world (the west perticuarly) is slowly starting to turn multi-cultural, and i think at some point or another ppl from younger generation are gonna start asking themselves the same question.

Most the time a person will be atracted to someone of the same ethnicity due to upbringing or identity, by this I mean that for example, a white person is more likely to end up with a white partner, why? I dont realy know, could be due to enviroment, parents, media influence, etc, etc...the more likely answer would be because a person from a certain country is going to be atracted to the majority (like USA is predomanantly white, Africa is predomanantly black, east asia is predomanantly oriental, etc). This is probly because like I said before, we are only in the biggining stages of a multi-cultural world, wether we get there or not is another matter....

As for me, race and nationality has no effect on wether I like a person or not.

As for your post, I think the reason would be preservation? Like whites want everyone to just be white and blacks all be blacks...as how hitler wants his people to be the only race. I think this is what Japan was doing before. Where they just marry a 1st degree cousin to preserve lineage or something. In anime, well, the genes on the supernatural powers. Hehe

I dont really give a damn about race or nationality. All I'm looking for is a girl who I can have fun with, who makes me feel good and happy. I know it sounds pretty cheesy, but its the truth.

I'm currently going with a girl who's race is different from mine.

I'm filipino, she's spanish.

People around us think it's werid that an asian person is going out with a spanish person and gives us werid looks when we're out and stuff. It can be bothersome at time.

I really care for her and we have lots of fun together.

I guess I can say, I rather go out with a girl that's race is different from mine, because it's always good to try something different.

i think it's stupid how some parents wont let their kids date a different race. im azn and i like mexicans, and so, i dont care what my parents think, and i dont care about what the other azn guys of my race think. i think dating my own race is taboo and i dont really care what my whole race thinks about me.

yeah its nobodys busness who you date in the first place right!? I still dont know why race is an issue anyways. I think the problem is when you judge people by there appearance... then all you see people is by there nationality and color and race...... its sad... this has to stop!!!

it's not weird bowser. what's weird are people who only date white women. like chinese guys...they even conducted a survey where they showed 2 pictures of white women. the other one was whiter and most guys chose her. are they blind or something? what's with white anyway? are they that obssessed with the color of porcelain?<<<bad pun

Urgh....I don't like white either. I like lightly tanned girls (or slightly dark). Shows they aren't vain and they've got discipline.

Call me racist or wateva but race does matter because different races have different personalities. Caucasians tend to be weak of mind but daring at times, Africans are most agressive, orientals value their dignity most, polynesian & malays are most loving, indians...are nice people...all fun-loving the lot of em'. To say race don't matter is as good as saying personality don't matter.

I'm just generalising. I observe ppl a lot and this general pattern is what I found out. There are plenty of exceptions. And it's only evidence gathered at my school and neighbourhood. So basically I'm using flawed sources to support my thesis statement.
