Oh my god. Oh my god. OH MY GOD. I will say one thing about Xenosaga Ep. III. I have been waiting for this game for almost ten years. Not since Xenogears have I been so emotional and in awe of the grandeur and flat out awesome nature of a video game. The story, the characters, the plot, the fighting system, the battles, and most of all, the music all blend together and form one of the greatest games I have ever played. While Im on the subject of music, I confess that I am a bit biased because the musical composer is none of other than Yuki Kajiura, whom I believe to be the greatest musical composer ever. I have been brought to tears numerous times not only because of the intensity of the story that unfolds before you, but because of the music that is chosen for that particular scene. Kajiura manages to capture the spirit of the game and its characters flawlessly with her score. I love this game SSSOOO much. I seriously have been waiting for a true successor to the "Xeno" title for truly almost ten years. 8 to be exact. Now I can finally sleep better at night. Also to my GREAT satisfaction, there are many references to Xenogears in this game, which is totally sweet for a Xeno-phile like myself. I mean one of the secret bosses is freaking Weltall and freakin ID. That is awesome beyond words for me. Currently I am almost at the end of the game. Unfortunately I find this to be the only fault the game has. Its too short for my tastes. I could probably to everything in 40 hours or less if I didnt train my characters so much. But even so......awesome.
And I got what I wanted. Shion has hugged KOS-MOS three times, and KOS-MOS hugged her back twice. THANK YOU. _________________ Miku Miku!!

Well, I will be enjoying this to the fullest. Not a lot of game that can let you relax while enjoying the story.
As for MOMO, she is, in fact, much cuter with her costume currently. I still can't get the combo when you press R1 since most of the enemies currently died within a few hits, so I can't see to get that right for certain reason....
And this is the first Xenosaga series that I like the English VA very much. They really fits the environment well. Namco really made a good job in that department. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

combo with R1......... if you are talking about the E.S. battles then you dont have to do that for the ambush and co-op attacks. It just has a small chance of happening when you attack. Some weapons have a higher chance of that happening though.
If you are not talking about that then sorry I dont know what you are talking about.
As for me, I beat the game yesterday. I have mixed emotions about it..... for one...
I cant freaking believe that Shion gets together with Allen. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE Allen so much for some reason. I mean he is a nice guy and he loves her but damn it I cant stand him......
and the ending is actually kinda
sad. Lots of people die/disappear.
In fact
a lot of the characters that I liked in the first place either die or end up floating in space or something.
On the bright side, the last boss fight was phenomenal. It was quite challenging for one, plus the music during the fight was very dramatic and well introduced. I love love love the music.
Currently I am finishing up the loose ends of my game. Secret bosses, segment addresses, final weapons, swimsuits etc. Plus I am trying to complete the mini game, which is actually challenging a fun. I enjoy playing it. I actually cant find the secret bosses. I have the key, but it tells me to go to the secret weapons development center but I have no idea where that is. _________________ Miku Miku!!

I am mostly trying to speed fast the game since I will be replaying this game for the second time for sidequests, etc. I am pretty much surprised at the event in the last part of disk one
MAJOR SPOILER!!! Don't read if you do not want to get spoiled REAL BAD!!
Quite surprised when I found out that Shion is the one that called the Gnosis into the universe. Man, my jaw literally drop on the bed ^_^;;
I am currently on disc 2
going to rescue Durandal from Dmitri Yuriev
So far, the game has been giving me headaches, especially since I am pretty much confused whether to use equipment with additional Break Limit or with additional HP. Well, in the end, used more on the Break Limit since the enemies around Disk 2 starts to get irritating for their continuous breaks on my characters... T_T
The ES battles are so much easier so far, but I like how they make it looks good. So far, I am loving every part of the game. I just hope that I can survive the enemies ahead. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

I agree the E.S battles were farily easy.... right up until the area you are about to go to. Then things get pretty hard. And breaking only gets worse. Especially the last boss. He has a move that does almost maximum break damage to all characters, so he gets 3 free turns after that. If that happens you WILL die. Even the enemies get some good breaks going, and enemies get harder to break. Man battles are intense and fun arent they?
And yes that was insane what happened. It totally blew my mind. But I was more surprised that
Kevin was the Red Testament actually. I semi expected something to be wrong with Shion.

Well, I nearly got pawned by enemies in Disc 1. There is one time they actually break 2 people in my team and since they have 3 level of boost, you can imagine what happen to me. Luckily, my KOS-MOS survived with 14 HP left with 2 of them down. Now that is what I call "close shave" -.-''
Well, I fight
Blue Testament, which is Virgil
and his Victim's Hail move makes the break bar fills up pretty fast. Luckily, he did not use that often, so I am pretty much safe as long as I block, but really, died once before realising that I have equipped an accessory that halves damages when guarding.... Man, that move hits 1300 per person if you did not block. Gosh, he is good.
And as for the
Red Testament, I kinda predicted that he is Kevin so it is not really that surprising to me. I never knew that Feb and Virgil actually love each other. That is another part that I am pretty surprised too since from what I know, he really despised Realians. Gosh, in a way, it is a pretty sweet revelation.
There are also hints that MOMO and Jr's relationship progresses although I have no idea whether it is really for real or not in the future.

I was surprised with Virgil's thing too. I thought it was sad and strange considering that he ate realians. I thought about it more and considered several possible reasons for this. But in all likelyhood he just wanted revenge on realians for killing Feb. Also it could have been that he was eating them, like they ate her, also in revenge.
Also
When I watched all the title screen movies I sort of figured it out as well, since the Red Testament took of his mask and Shion's eyes widened. I was just still surprised by it for some reason.
Yeah
virgil was hard.
Luckily I still beat hiim on the first try through levels basically. By that time I trained so much I had KOS-MOS's first Master Skill, which is SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOO useful its ridiculous. With it and a full 4 or 6 Boost meter she can basically kill everybody by herself.
Oh and about Jr. and MOMO, there is a possibilty but Im still not sure exactly. _________________ Miku Miku!!

Looks like your training menu is more on focus, rather than balanced. As for me, I am balanced in the training. That means that everyone is a healer to an extent, breaker to an extent, attacker to an extent, and defender to an extent. So that is why I did not go for the master skill first.
That can be useful in certain situation, but I find that I can survive better with that. I am not really good at focusing kind of training, since I am a quite an indecisive type ^_^;
Well, will be continuing playing and see how the story progresses =P _________________ Innocent Tranquility

Wow that is a horribly cute picture.... and what makes it even better is that the picture of MOMO doing that karate punch thing is actually one of her best moves lol. Apparently Ziggy taught it to her because he has the same move but not as adorable. And trust me..... this Xenosaga is SSSOOO good its just....ridiculous. Im on my second game while simultaeneously still finishing up my first. And I think I am probably going to beat it one more time before I move on to another game. That is how good it is. I could give you an entire long essay on why this game is one of the greatest of all time..... but that should be saved for another time.
In first game news..... I FINALLY got the materials necessary for Ziggy's final weapon. I swear to god... getting 99 of an item has never taken me this long. Everyone has their master skills and pretty much all of the good skills from the EX-Skill sets. Right now Im trying to beat HaKox World 5, on which I am on level 10. SSSSOOOO hard..... and there is still one more world after this... Oh well. All the more fun I guess. Once I get Jr.s final weapon I have everyones, then I can train to at least level 70 and whomp on the final boss big time. Then I will declare that game finished, and proceed to fully concentrate on my second and third games. _________________ Miku Miku!!

Good for you, True. As for me, I ACCIDENTALLY deleted my save game because I thought that it is a XENOSAGA II OLD SAVE GAME!!! I wanted to delete old Xenosaga II saves and I accidentally deleted the only save game for Xenosaga III.... T_T
Well, I am on a hiatus for now, but I will finish this..... T_T _________________ Innocent Tranquility

I just finished the last level of HaKoX. Gosh, that game gives me tons of nightmares for level 6 puzzles. They really give me tons of problems and the last stage, Pinball, is not called that for nothing.... -.-''
But well, the things that I got from playing it is incredibly good. Best weapon for Jr. and Ziggy's swinsuit. Nothing is better than that (~^_^)~
Currently in Abel's Ark, trying to kill all those 4 annoying mini-bosses and also to give some hitting on the head of the boss in that area. _________________ Innocent Tranquility
