I know it sounds wierd, but I'm getting tired of people posting opinions(usually negative)....after seeing 2 episodes.... weeks apart from each other Rolling Eyes
There is no way a casuall watcher is getting the whole picture. Or even half the picture. So maybe they should shut the F$%& up.

Sorry, I got a little carried away there. So have you guys noticed this?
What other problems might you have noticed?

I think it has to do with how many anime shows are really one long story arc and not individual stories episodes. It's hard to come into the middle of a story and fully appreciate what you're seeing.

But I wouldn't blame CN for this. Their just showing the content they've licensed.

That's a good point. I suppose most of us are upset because they don't show much gore and things but who SHOULD expect them to? Cartoon Network's a KID'S show for crying out loud, you know?

I mean Seriously. If someone doesn't like that kind of content, then why watch it and complain in the first place?

tv networks are too hesitant about showing adult orientated animation. even after with the popularity of the Simpsons and Futurama they think that audiences still wont accept cartoons aimed at mature audiences. maybe theyre right im not sure. and i think anime still has a bit of stigma associated with it in the west. i wish networks would take more risks with their programming. SBS is the only Australian free to air tv network which shows anime other than the pokemon, digimon whatever-mon series. but i wish they would stick to the subtitled versions. i mean, most of their programming is subtitled anyway (it tries to cover the broad range of cultures that is the Australian population).

i think i went off topic. but then again im not very sure what the topic here is exactly. hmm.

naruto isn't too bad; at least it wasn't bastardized heavily by viz entertainment, unlike what 4kids did to one piece...so much censorship there

Cartoon Network sucks for anime watching, first its the cut version and second they don't even play anything good. This includes the English version of Naruto.... The English version is crap. None of the voices match the characters.

Thanks to everyone for responding. I also wonder why they edit as heavily as they do, what with kids being far more desensitized to real violence nowadays, let alone animated violence.Oh well at least its free. Smile

I think maybe its just the US and their Cartoon Network, here in Canada, they actually have some different english voices like DBZ. Although alot of anime on YTV (Youth Television) shows are from the US, I think they did a pretty good job on Inuyasha series, Witch Hunter Robin, and Gundam Wing. Gundam Seed was OKAY but I didn't like Lacus and Flay's voice as much as the Japanese one lol. I haven't seen Naruto in english yet (Satellite got canceled >.<) but I've seen Cartoon Network's DBZ and its pretty much the same cept the voices....and censored language? lol I dunno could be vice versa...

Heres a question, is FMA censored in cartoon network?

The only anime Cartoon Network show in my country right now is Hi Hi Puffy Ami. It had been quite a long time since they show Akazukin Cha Cha.

cartoon network is bad for anime. mostly because almost all of the anime are at late at night which is a very inconvinient time. Lots of reruns after reruns before even finishing the series? And i aways prefered subbed better the dubbed. I guess it has its good points since i seen a couple of decent anime like FLCL, Gundam Seed, Inu Yasha, etc. They also play some anime movies from time to time.
