More spoilers.... -_-;

Actually, the cultists worship Angels, particularly, Fallen Angels. Their "Dark God" is actually the fallen angel Samael; who is said to be the devil himself.

The cultists tried to revive Samael, but his power was to great to hold in one human body. So, they created twins. One was tortured, and went through pain most of her child hood. The other, was taken away and adopted by Harry(main character of SH1). The tortured one held the strongest power and created the evil Silent Hill.

Also, the cultists had something to do with manifestations and demons that plagued Silent Hill as well. Since they worshipped such an evil power, no wonder poltergeists and stuff took over SH.

So des ka now I understand, Thanks Reis-san... So is all about Dark God, cultists, and the sacrified things happens to Silent Hills.. Now I have to wait for this weekend to beat SH4.. for now still with that Yoshitsuneki games... wanna beat it 1st..

i can also help you on the SH series...1 thru 3. if it's SH4, Reis-san is the man.
and also like Reis said, I'll give you advice to the best of my knowledge too^^.

btw...how come there's no info in SH2 about the Pyramid head? I really want the info on him. Why he appeared and what's his purpose.

I've played Sh 2 and 3, got frustrated by 4's screwed up controls but that could have been my PC's fault (PC gamer over here..hehe), so I'll be giving it a chance again pretty soon.

Anyway, that review-esque thing is pretty much the same thing that I think about PH. It all gets a bit more confusig with the mention of the "red god" in Sh 3, which a lot of people think is him. Anyway, my explanation is that the old SH executiones were dressed as to resemble that red god, and James' tortured mind takes that form too, kind of to punish himself mentally for all the screwed up things he's done by doing them all over again, but this time in his face.

And Reis... wour spoilers from a few posts ago are wrong as far as I know. Just in some details though. Heres' MY (by no means entirely correct) version: WARNING, I do go a bit deeper than Reis and probably spoil even more, so read at your discretion.
Dahlia had Dr. what's-his-name (I'm a bit rusty with the names... sue me) get her pregnant with a child through insemination, and that child was born in order to produce the cult's "god", sammael. It is not that they worship fallen angels, just this one, and a book found in sh3 casts doubt on the awareness of the cultists that their god is a fallen angel at all.
Anyway, that child was Alessa, who had one friend (Claudia) and was abused and mistreated during her childhood, so that her pain, fear and anger would nurture the god within her. Eventually, when alessa was 7 (I think) Dahlia tried to hasten the god's return by burning Alessa in her room. The fire got out of hand and not only burned the house, but a big chunk of the town. Alessa survived the fire, badly burnt and with her spirit (and therefore the god) split in two: the burned Alessa and a baby, who was stolen by her nurse Lisa and eventually found by Harry and his wife, who named her Cheryl. Basically all the stuff that happens in SH1 is because Cheryl's visit to Silent hill re-joined her and Alessa, and put the god and his power back together and that power corrupted the town and created a second twisted reality. Although I could write bout ths for hours in more detail it is long enough already... so I'll stop here, as it is enough.
And all the polterheist stuff and whatnot... youre 100% right about that one.

Welcome leoxjm, you should post here early, now 4 maybe there will be more next time. Thanks for the infos, is really help me out to understand what causes Silent Hill be haunted..

This weekend I'll start to play SH4 1st, then maybe SH2 or F.Frame III..

I'll try to find a pic of Pyramid head on the net. but I'm too alszy to do that now. From my experience...PH is like the Judge and Executioner.
But they really look scary especially if one is chasing you.

Off topic: Sniper Elite, I heard this game before, is it shooting game and what the view.. 1st person or 3rd person?

he may not be too sacry but his strength is to be reckoned with. I got hit once in "Beginner" mode and I was down to red Status or "danger".
He moves slow when he carries his Great Knife. His overhead sttack means Instant deat regardless of James' Status.

Off topic: It's a 3rd person game and. it's pretty Good too. not much action since you stalk the battlefield. "Think like a Sniper", "Stealth is Key".

Beginner mode is equal to easy mode right? If he can hit you till red status... that pretty scared, and he bring over Great Axe... that kinda cool can asked him to xchange our axe with his Great Axe? jokes again...

We can't beat PH rite? and thank god he is slowpokes..

beginner is a lot easier than "easy" mode.
1 shot from the Handgun can down an normal enemy, on easy it'll take 2 shots. Bosses on beginner can be killed by Handgun without worrying too much. Ammunition is very abundant, by the end of the game I had 350+ rounds on reserve fro my Handgun.

And doing melee attacks aginst PH is just suicide, you can hit IT once then he'll hit you around 3 times for that. plus James' movement is slow.
yup he can't be killed, but shooting him enough times on your first encounter will make him retreat ONLY. but on the final encounter, they will commit suicide after shooting them enough times.
