I just bought the complete Witch Hunter Robin for 30 bucks and the first season on Kenshin for 22. I got them from Zia records in AZ, not online and both are R1. Love to hear yours. _________________ Lonesome No More |

I bought the whole series of .hack//sign and legend of the twilight for a total of 31$ at Vancouver.
Compare that price to Otafest's (Otaku Festival held at University of Calgary May 22 2005) Ceres Celestial Legend (Ayashi no Ceres). I got the first dvd...2 discs for 50$ O___o |

Well, nothing will beat getting the Galaxy Angel Season 3 complete collection for $21.95 when it's released on December 27th. No tax, no shipping, and I get credits for my frequent shopper's club. That's the deal I get from www.animeonestop.com which is where I do all my shopping. I think in the last 18 months, I've spent about $2,600 on anime... yeah, that's about right since I cashed in two $1,000 bonuses and I'm almost done with the 3rd.
All of the dvds I buy from them are usually $18.95 (single volumes, not the limited editions or the multi-packs). I think my best deal so far was getting the Martian Successor Nadesico Complete Chronicles for $29.99. Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 was around that price too, but for some reason, the "complete" collection was missing episodes 23-26. I got the Neon Genesis Evangelion complete set for $80 from some site in Canada. I had ordered it for I think $100 from another guy, then I checked another site like 5 minutes after pressing "send" and found the better deal. That was a year and a half ago, I don't know what the collection sells for now. I think with the platnium edition out now, no one wants the original release anymore. _________________

The anime I bought was used, but only slightly so. Only the first DVD's showed any signs of being touched. Zia records prices stuff crazy8O _________________ Lonesome No More |

All of mine are brand-new, factory-sealed, and usually in my mailbox the day they street (assuming I pre-ordered far enough in advance, usually within the week prior). Good deals are out there, you just gotta know where to look. _________________

but that does sound like a gr8 deal..no shopping and no tax~! i'll probably check it out~! _________________

Not only on eBay, but pretty much anywhere. I saw an ad for the Please Teacher complete collection for $12.95, obviously a super sweet deal. The ad was on a website I frequented a lot for my anime info, so I thought all was good. Well, they did deliver what they promised (and didn't steal my identity), but even though I got all 12 episodes, the box was flimsy and there were no extras (not to mention all episodes were on 2 discs... 4 eps on 1 and 9 on the other.. 9!!). There's article somewhere on this site that tells you how to spot a bootleg. Unfortunately, when you buy online, you can never see what you're getting (even if they post a photo, they could still pull the ole switch-a-roo) _________________
