Just wondering has anyone played it and what they think about it. Just wondering cause ive been thinking if i should start playing it.

I just started this game yesterday and am enjoying it. The moves are good definetly match WoW standard, my opinion that is. Damn so hard to lvl up starting 15 Crying or Very sad

im lvl 29 and all str is a fun game and the quest keeps u besy
its just that the old server have too many high lvl =(
if u going to start playing silk road play on the new server

Basic Overview:

Silk Road Online is an MMORPG named after the Silk Road that stretched from China to the Mediterranean Sea (I think?) that merchants took to transport goods.

It's decent for a free MMORPG - a lot of cool looking moves (in the higher levels). I think the weapons are: glavie, sword, blade, spear, and arrow? There aren't really CLASSES to start out from - you pick a preset character design (male or female) and then you buff up your HP/MP according to what you want. You can equip various parts of armor (shoulder guard, chest plate, etc. etc.), and basically the attacks are based on: what element you like (Fire, Ice, Lightning, and, I think, Force (which is Healing). There might be some others.).

I actually stopped playing this one after a few levels. Good graphics, but the only way to level is to fight, and fight, and fight Razz

. It... gets very repetitive, and even the "cool combos" of the later levels are still a blazing repeat of the same moves. And the quests consist of more and more fighting. Basically, it's your basic MMORPG slapped with a cool looking interface. (But hey- you can ride on horses Razz

And with a cape on, you can do PvP or just go around killing people XP). Leveling up is still pretty slow, but MUCH faster than another free MMO I played before, KalOnline (hooh boy - that took so long. >.<... maybe 70 hours to level there will take about 20 hours in Silk). Ah yes, and I think you can be a trader, bounty hunter, or a thief as well (didn't really get to see this feature since I quit early -.-.).

yeah it surely a good game
i have a char lv 29 use bow with ice job trader
i raise full int so i'm the best pvp (at that time)
i want i can play again but have nomoney... hix

this game geets boring if you plan on sp farming, other wise i still find it boring after a while

I've given the game a try now. Tested it out for a couple weeks. Leveled a couple characters to 25, just to see how both Int and Str play out. The game balance is very one-dimensional and leaves a lot to be desired. And even in the over-simplified system, it's debatable whether the 2 sides are actually balanced.

Add in the fact that the marketing scheme is based around the "first time's free, but if you want the GOOD stuff you've gotta pay" concept, and overall I would say the game's not very appealing.

However, its come a long way graphically from its predecessor HK games (RO, etc, etc), so if you enjoyed all of those cookie cutter games you may enjoy this one as well.

Overall I'd rate it a 5/10.

I thought this game was fun but after a few hours i got so bored of it i quit. its just like a 3d version of runescape in China.

well i played and it gets boring since people in the game hardly talks. Well other than "can i join the party?" then spam. or "please revive me!!! now!" they don't social.
People are just too concentrated on the game itself. Surprised

I didn't even play it for too long. The game was seriously too laggy because the servers are always full. Plus, there was a bug that kept making me run behind this door, even though I was sometimes a decent game mile away from it.

I leveled up about 2 times and spent the rest of the game exploring and asking questions. After that, I quit.

i play silkroad but not that often. my character is lvl 19 with 1% ex til 20 lol. I think its a really great game but abit anti-social cause the only ppl that talk to eachother are ppl in guilds but the game is really addictive. also try out runescape, it is abit of a kiddy game buy it is fun and gives you something to do.

alot of people complaining about the lag in Silkroad, but it's because of 2 reasons: 1st Graphic lag (weak computer or weak video card), 2nd is the responding signal from sever is too long (latency, ping - depend on how far you are from the sever).
In my opinion, it's a great game for a free game, not many free game out there that has graphic like Silkroad.

I played this game for awhile, about 4 days and made it to level 12. After that, my friend got me into WoW and I plan on buying it on Monday so, going to Silkroad and having to quit for WoW in 2 days just isn't worth it. I dunno if I will ever go back to Silkroad.

This MMO is a good pick up if you don't want one with a montly fee. Probably one of the best out there. Smile
