First you need to find out the format or extension of the files which can't be played. After identifying the format, you can search for the codec. K-Lite Codec Pack consists most of the used and up to dates codecs.
Click here for K-Lite Codec Pack
Check whether it has the codecs you need before downloading. If not, just state the file format here and i'll try to find it for you. _________________ What's yours is mine, what's mine is still mine. |

Why is WMP way below avg??? That's what I've been using playing all the files I got like MKV and OGM heh I think it ain't no average to me hmm...
Well now I got a ques will it hurt to install FFDSHOW or affect the previously installed Matroska Splitter and OGG Splitter and all that... And what I've learned from the PC forum [H]ardocp it is not always pretty installing codec packs... _________________

WMP? Do you mean Windows Media Player? To me, the WMP Classics works better and more stable than the WMP series v9 and above. There are a lot of players other than WMP, but their major difference is the function so nothing to worry about. About installing a new codec, it's true that sometimes it may cause conflict with other codecs so you should check properly. Since you said the PC forum does not agree with that, then you shouldn't install it. Well, i am no technical expert so i just said them based on my experience. _________________ What's yours is mine, what's mine is still mine. |

I have a problem playing KickAssAnime's movie files.
They do play, however the volume is very low, even when maxed.
Anyone knows what's the source of this problem?
I tihnk it has something to do with my codecs.. |

.srt is a subtitle file. The latest Media Player Classic should support it. Just place the subtitle together with the raw video file in the same folder. They should have the same name but different extension.
You can download the latest MPC from the K-Lite Codec pack link above. _________________ What's yours is mine, what's mine is still mine. |
