| Don't hold me to this, but you might want to try out Media Player Classic (disclaimer: I dont know if there is a Mac version or not). Works like old Windows media player versions, i.e. better than WMP 9. |

| Try MPlayerOSX for mac which supports all the codecs like VLC here http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/ I don't think it will work though, because there is no way currently to play WM3 media files properly on macs i heard. |

i have G-spot for a long time and everytime it doesnt render. i just delete the damn file. Is there a way to save it ,i mean g-spot only checks the files right? So if gspot cant render it,means the file is corrupted? _________________

dunno if it automatically mean the file is corrupted but you could try divfix, it looks for error in avi and reports them (not perfect, can miss errors sometimes), after that you can cut the bad parts & rebuild the index, but if you only need to know if the files is damaged, it should be able to do it |

| maybe you could install ffdshow too, if your computer doesn't have the codecs, ffdshow will do the trick |
