hey hey u guys~! sawwiez i haven't been on for awhile, but my internet has been down over @ my mom's. Anyways....

thanx for the mark sein info~! oh an don't u think that would be kewl if a gundam had that kinda power? to tell u the truth i don't really like the look of the mark sien....it isn't bad looking though.......i just think its weaponry is way too kewl for its body..lol.

anyways...after reading some of ur posts that i have missed for about a week and a half....i came across FMP~! ok u guys gotta tell me how good this anime was on a 1-10 rating scale. i heard that it's really good....but i dunno it just seems to goofy for my taste.....when i saw that giant teddy bear in several of the previews, i decided that it wasn't the anime for me..lol.

Oh, hi Kay!I was wondering if you'd post on the weekend.

Anyway, I also thoguth the Mk Sein looked pretty odd. Personally, I liked its original configuration better (if you notice it comes out of the dry blob looking very different than the way it went in), but eventually it grew into me and I think it looks pretty cool.

Now, a gundam that can assimilate... that would be pretty scary, I'd think. However, I don't think that is a direction Gundams want to take, since they are trying their best to be versatile and stylish. They switch weapons a lot from rifle to saber back to rifle and then to cannon. Things like that. Having the weapon attached to the arm by crystals is a big hindrance, although the wepon is pretty overpowered. Besides, with the weapons fixed to the arm they couldn't spin them around like they did on GW and EW. Probably the only one that could really be better off assymilating would be the heavyarms... but maybe that is overkill since it already had a big gun to begin with.

So FMP! Umm... I always have trouble rating shows, afraid of being to generous or conservative with the score. I think FMP would be a 9. It is pretty entertaining and, honestly, it is not THAT silly. Fummoffu is waaay more silly. On my first run through FMP! (wich had been pitched at me as a comedy) I though that it barely ranked as one in many episodes and some others have 0 comedy. Some were vey funny, but the show itself is very action and character-oriented, in my opinion. I really think you should watch it anyway.

mistabean: Aside from her (yeah, she's hot), I would have liked to see more of the student council president. That guy was hilarious. And the GSD parody in fummoffu was great. I couldn't stop laughing after I saw that.

ah...so ur waiting for the fafner dvd to come out as well huh leo?....such a long wait....i dunno how long i'll last!!! we have to wait at least 2 months for each vol. to come out.

ooo oooo and a new GW box (anime legends version)set is coming out as well on march 28. but it'll only be half the collection...i think i'll wait until the whole collection comes out...even though i already have the whole series Razz

hopefully it'll have some new features or extras...something to make it truely worth buying again.

loveless was also suppose to come out on v-day ..but sadly it didn't. oh by the way happy late v-day u guys~!

Yep, I'm also waiting for those DVDs. As a matter of fact Fafner is the only series I own in DVD. Until about a few months ago I was also interested in the Gundam SEED DVDs, but Destiny's sucky ending got me to reconsider. Besides, I'm a broke college student and I've got other expenses to take care of first, so Anime DVDs are not my priorities.

Oh yeah, Happy V-day to you too!!! I forgot that the last time I saw you around was on last saturday. Anyway, hope you had a good one. Mine sucked, but it had little to do with Valentines and a lot to do with piled up work.

Ok, so you have doubts about Full metal panic? There are not really any "sagas" in it, just 3 seasons. Full Metal panic! (first season) which is.. 24 episodes, Full Metal Panic? Fummoffu which is 11 episodes long and Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid which is 13 episodes long. As a rough analogy like Gundam Seed and Gundam seed destiny. They are all supposed to come one after the other. I don't think you should buy it, if you have doubts. Why don't you rent it instead? I heard that Netflix has a lot of anime, and probably your local rental place would have some too. Maybe it'll be there. FMP! and TSR are true mecha series and in terms of the storyline Fummofu is completely expendable, as the episodes are only loosely connected to everything else (and each other), but it is pretty good for laughs. It concentrates on Sagara's "everyday life" as a student in Japan. TSR has not yet been release in the US, so you'll only be able to get a hold of the other two series in DVD for now.

i would rent fmp, but blockbuster and hollywood videos rarely ever have anime in stock......and when the good ones are out......they kinda somehow disappear Shocked

(offtopic)don't feel too bad...my v-day bit as well. i was suppose to get "married" to my friend for kicks and then get divorced right afterwards (wanna beat brit. spears' record of having a 1 day marriage)...i ended up missing my own wedding cuz the day before i had dance and singing practice for 8 hrs strait (1-9)...so sore i could barely move ..bit so much~!

(on topic) i was actually interested in GS's dvds....they looked rather kewlioz and glossy~! ...wat can i say i'm a sucker for images and covers.......so yea i kinda judge books and anime by their covers..lol. but as i know....i shouldn't judge...cuz even though the covers look kewl for GS...the series is gay! Razz

..lol. actually a lot of the gundam series is going on sale......wonder y they decide to do this AFTER i buy the complete series of GW.

anyways i was bored today ...ok i was procrastinating hw and i found this site www.gendou.com <u might know of it already(i'm always the last to find things)...but yea it has like every anime song ever created...not to mention a lotta kewl mixes of GW and fafner...so i recommend the site...and it has forums as well...so i tend to chatter in those now as well...but they're no way as near as interesting as over here~!..lol.

Wow Kay! you really do find out about these things slowly... I've been a memeber of gendou for at least 6 months already (under an alias) I've even upladed stuff to their website. (guess what show? Wink

) I haven't done anything in the forums, though. I don't like the layout.

Actually, I am still thinking about getting the GS dvds, just less seriously than before. Now unless I see a really good deal for them I don't think I'll get them. And I was excited about gundam SEED destiny, but I hated how the last part of the show went, so I'll definitely won't be getting that. And to think I was looking forward to it. Bleh. Anyway, I didn't like GW enough to get it on dvd either. Unless I see a good price for them those'll be off of my to-buy list for quite a while. I guess I'm still curious though, so I'll look into the extras. But if you already own a collection why would you bu another one? unless the new one is much nicer I wouldn't.

My intuition tells me that it says Right of left will be released on DVD in Japan on april 5th and the BGM soundtrack on march 8th... it says something about Dead Aggressor too for Feb 25th, but I don't have a clue as of what. Well, I hope RoL will come to the US too then. I'm looking forward to it.
BTW, why does an hour long special need two DVDs?

HI jckool! how's it going? Still too busy for E7?

While procrastinating I decided to take a look at the dub for Fafner. Honestly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, although the original voices are still far better. One of the things that struck me was Canon's voice. It is not a bad voice at all, and the acting is pretty good. it's just that... that is so not a Canon voice. I really can't explain it, but she just sounds diferent than she looks. Older, I'd say. And with a diferent vibe. Not as disdainful as she is.
Michis's voice was also odd, but for the oposite reason. He sounds like a kid. Even Kazuki sounds older than him. Originally he sounded more badass. Another miscast was Mizoguchi, who also sounds older. Although he sounds like a soldier indeed he also sounds like he'd be retired, bald, with a grey beard and a beer belly. I guess I have an overactive imagination... hehe...

One thing I wonder about E7 is why the hell do they have the mecha surf? Its cool, but it is also 100% impractical. Lose the board and down you go. What the hell? The thing is that they also have a couple of robots there with a "built in" board, which makes a lot of sense, so it means that it CAN be done. Although they explain how the concept came about, what kind of person in his right mind would make only surfing mecha and mass-produce them?

Oh, and in case you guys didn't know, they're makind a new SEED OVA... That's all I know from now, aside from the fact that the tentative title is stargazer. Hopefully they will not make a Stargazer Gundam because... well... it sounds weak as hell. Youd xpect it to have a built-in telescope to look at the stars or something...

ok and now wat is this about a seed ova?!!! y can't they let it die already!!!!? so if this ending bites (supposing it's an ending) do u think they'll try to recreate the ending AGAIN?..lol. hmm i dunno....i hate it when series go overboard u know? cough cough** DBGT *cough cough**.lol.

Hi Kay. Slow internet is better than no internet at all... I have a dial-up connection at home, so I know what you mean. I'll see if I get my parents to upgrade it, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Well, buying a new GW set is your choice, not mine. And I didn't mean to criticize. I was just curious, that's all. I'm also wondering what the new extras for the series would be aside from the prettier image (which is a default). I heard that the Eva platinum edition leaves the original in the dust because the image has a far better quality, among other things. I bet the new GW will be the same.

Well, the new SEED OVA is supposed to come after that ending. I guess that letting anything end so poorly is bad, so if the OVA has a better ending I'm all for it. Hopefully they'll get a new director, or at least a new scriptwriter who doesn't stop to consider what the fanboys would like and pushes through with something original for a change. You should definitely take a look at it when it comes out. Then you can decide whether you like it or not. And if you hate it you'll be able to point out hateful details and shut people up with them Twisted Evil

So, when is the new GW edition coming out? I'd like to take a look at it sometime. As I said before I won't be buying it, but maybe I'd like to rent it out or something. Hopefully they'll release the whole thing at once. I hate having to wait until the end of March for the next Fafner DVD. Yet another month...

Oh, while we're at the gendou stuff, have you heard "peace of mind" there? That's Right of Left's song. I like it a lot. Its listed as a Fafner song.

well i hate to disappoint ya...but the new edition for GW is also coming out @ the end of march (3/28 i believe). but c only half the series is coming out in march...i dunno y they're halfin the series....but i'm hoping that the FULL set comes out later u know?....i mean that's only logical right?

hmm i haven't listened to that song..but i'll be sure to check it out next time i go to gendou which will probably be in a few hrs..lol. so i'll be sure to put my imput on it during my next postage~!
