I suppose I can wait until late march for that new release too. At least it is half of the series and not just the first 4-5 chapters like it usually is. It doesn't make much sense to me either but... whatever. Isn't your birthday in march, kay? if so it is closer to yours than n to mine. maybe you can get someone to buy it for you, then.

You should check out this thing that PolyGuru posted in the Free for all. That little robot reminds me a lot of the ones in E7:

Holy crap, i've missed alot...

btw leoxjm when'd you become a mod? haha.. ANYWAY.. i completely bombed my calc test, my physics quiz, and i spent all of this weekend working on an english project.. well at least it was with my friends, so it was fun.. hehe

lol kaykay if all your friends get mod positions... i wanna be a mod!.. haha jkjk.. i probably dont have the time for it anyway.. fansubbing takes up quite abit of time by itself.. and now school is murdering meeeeee T___T

ANYWAYYYYY (on topic now..before our new mod kills me =p )

maybe i'll go buy the gs thing too.. my birthday's in june.. so its not for awhile.. =/ peace of mind is a great song.. lets send it to kaykay =)

oh and sorry if i kinda suddenly dissapear for like a week, my school life is murdering me right now.. it should calm down by the end of this week.. =p

Hi jckool. Been off for a while. huh?

I don't mod here on Anime General, so it's ok... I could contact Eisen or mistabean if I see bad stuff happening here, but I can't do anything about it myself. I didn't know you fansubbed though. What are you working on?

I actually don't know much about the OVA. I understand it is supposed to take place in CE 73, so that would be the same year as Destiny. Maybe a bit after it, but I don't really know. It is just being planned, so no details are available as of yet. I wonder about the tentative title, though... Stargazer... it may not be released as such but I seally don't see what gundam seed and gazing at the stars have in common. The only SEED character who gazed at something (the ocean) was Stellar and she was a terrible character.

so did u guys check out the new issue to newtype? it has a big gundam on it...i think it's from GS...but seriously to tell u guys the truth i'm getting so confused w/ all the gundams now! like all of Gs' gundams look the same...just differences in color~! so confusing...but it still looks kewl.

oh and remember when i said the new dvd box set for GW is coming out? well in newtype they didn't even bother to put it in the list of March's list of dvds...so i was like Twisted Evil

hey u guys does macross have gundams in it or is it just like wars and blah blah blah? cuz i get that free ep. thing w/ the newtype mag. and once or twice they had ep. of that series. looked to old school though i could barely keep my eyes open during the theme song or watever. but my friend tells me it's really good~!

haha, kaykay.. from what people tell me, macross is good.. but then.. i havnt actually watched any of it, and planes flying everywhere will make me dizzy..(okay.. so thats exaggerated.. but still) it sounds confusing too =p

so yeah, i've counted how many hours i spent on my project over the weekend, over 25.. o___O.. thank God it was with my friends.. so we had fun, and we kinda all looked completely dead today in english class.. =p
and teachers suck dont they.. they tend to test you and make you hadn in everything all at the same time.. i'm gonna count the weekend, cause i worked the entire weekend.. almost.. so if you count the weekend taht makes, friday, saturady, sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, thursday... and then i get a break on friday(yay!) and then on monday i have 2 projects due... last friday i had my calc test, and from friday-saturday i wroked on my english project, today i was supposed to present it, tuesday i have physics test, wednesday i have chem test, thursday i have chem lab test, friday i'm free, monday i have another project in english, and a chemistry project due.. holy crap.. and osmeone is gonna murder me for being totally offtopic.. but i had to rant somewhere.. =) .. and i'm called mr offtopic for a reason XD

anyway... stellar wasnt a terrible character.. i think it was just because they never had time to develop her, and to develop shinns relationship with her.. i mean for half of the time she was alive, she was tied to a bed and in some form of critical condition.. she had abit of potential.. she just wasnt used well as a character.. and shinn is the most messed up "main" character ever.. 0 character development, honestly i'd say cagalli had more character development than shinn..

oh right, and yeah i fansub.. not so much now, cause i dont have that much time.. but i mostly just time karaoke.. (i'm a timer..) if you look at animelito's rozen maiden.. the karaoke in it is timed by me.. err. actually.. come to think of it, all of animelito's karaoke is timed by me =/ .. i used to time glass mask for SD_Project, and whenever fightingmagic releases sonic 54 the new kara shoudl be done by me too.. =p and i timed some of avalon's xenosaga. =p but technically, i'm in avalon, SD_Project, and animelito ... animelito purely because i know its leader in real life.. funny story how it started up.. and for some reason sounds excatly like the one for doremi =p

Anyways! wish me luck on my test haha.. and i think my friend was right about me.. i do say anyways alot..

Back on topic: I heard that macross is also a pretty good Anime. Somewhere around this forum someone posted a preview for a new macross production that is coming out in the future (too tired to look for it right now). I'll see if I get that. I'm particularly interested in it because I like space combat simulation games and for the looks of it Macross is the anime that comes closest to that kind of thing. But yeah, the fighters and stuff transform into gundam-like robots too, so it counts as a mecha anime.

Sorry, but I haven't seen the latest newtype, so I can't help you identify it. Although, it is true that all gundams look pretty similar. They all have a little "chin" coming out under the head, a helmet-like headpiece and a V shaped thingy in the forehead. Pretty much the only one that doesn't have those features is the Turn A, but it has a mustache instead and it looks really odd. Anyway, if you somehow manage to get a scan of the pic maybe we can help you identify it.

Oh, I love then Ending song for fafner. I just checked and Separation is the most listened song in my computer... I just like it a lot.

Ok.. I'm falling asleep too. I'm calling it quits for now.

Note to self: check out animelito's releases. *bump* ZZZZzzzzz....

hey offtopicz and hey hey leo~! wowz...bz week or in this case year, for us all..lol.

hope everything turns out w/ ur proj. and tests offtopicz..and happy be-lated b-day leo~! how old did ya turn~?! ooo ur getting OLD!!..lol. congrads~! >this is ur b-day song............it isn't very long!

ahh, so macross does have gundam-like machines~! kewlioz~! hey i hear this new gundam series kinda just came out in japan...umm the name was....ummm ummm *looks in newtype mag*..lol....it's called Zegapain (only took me like 15 min. to find the title!). in my opinion the series looks ...ok.......and i have a pretty good idea that it's going to have a love triangle and u guys know how i feel about love triangles.....me no likey. anyways here's a brief synopsis about the show:

kyo sogoru is a high school student living in the outskirts of Tokyo, where he leads a rewarding life full of classes, club activities and romance. But one day he gets caught up in a furious battle between a whole mess of giant robots. After many days of fighting, kyo finally learns an astonishing secret about the world in which he lives.

can u say cliff hanger?^ .l.ol. but yea there u have it....i sense more of a comedy-type series than a hidden secret one but yea.

and u guys should check newtype out once in awhile if u can...bunch of GS stuff....pages and pages of it....and e7 .....of course i tend to ignore those pages Razz

Macross is definitely a series that i'd like to watch soemtime.. but.. i wonder if i can even get my hands on the original series.. =p.. its almost as old as gundam itself.. =p and yeah.. the song seperation rules =D

well sad to say but i can't watch the clip thingy of macross ..cuz i'm at mom's ....and yea bad internet connection so yea....comp. will freeze!

anyways i don't think the anime is bad cuz it looks old school....it's just wow like seriously 3 min. i tried to get thru the theme song and it put me to sleep! but who knows maybe the content is better and i'm just not giving it a fair shot.

that other series i told u guys about Z....blah blah watever the name is..lol...i think is suppose to use like a a lot CG..hopefully it won't look gay or too over the top.

so funny i was in a thread in gendou and there was a thread of eva. vs. Wing right (plz don't let this start up.lol.)....and u know it was like that thread we had here..who would win right? and of course everyone was either puting Heero would win cuz of blah blah blah or go shinji! but there was this one guy that just randomly wrote...."well ya this is just assuming if shinji would ever even get into the FREAKIN EVA!" ..lol~

Oh 13 huh? I don't mind that. No wonder there was something weird with my voice....

Anyway, that little clip I linked to has tons of CG sequences. I meant for it as a reference to the stuff that would be in Macross as traditional animation. And If the Op is boring just skip it. E7s current Op is so bad that it is depressing, so it is better to just skip it too. The Ops are not what matters in a show, they are just part of the appearance. I sure hope Zegapain doesn't rely to heavily on cg, though. It may be kinda cool, but It feels kind of wrong when it seems more of a computer game animation sequence than an actual anime.

Well, that guy has a winning argument. But then agaqin, Heero could just beat the eva up with very simple tacics. And since I suppose it is Wing Zero he'll know that energy supply is the eva's weakness and just bet it up without breaking a sewat. But there was already a thread about it and it is better not to go on. We all know how it ended. Wink

omg i know exactly wat u mean when u say cg makes it look like a comp. game. subtle cg looks good......but gosh sometimes u just wanna shoot the screen cuz of disgusting cg images!! like in dn angel!! omg i felt like it was in a barbie town~!

like in EW...now that was some hot use of cg!.lol.

hey u guys u know wat relly bothers me about GS? how every person is drawn the same...and i know i said this b4 but now i know like exactly where they are drawn the same...like same shape of eyes, face, eye brows, ....like every facial feature!! isn't that weird? .....fafner has this as well...but not extremely u know? i just wish the character would have more variety...i think that would better the series. i think the only guy to stand out is shinn or watever his name is. but then again he looks like kira as well~! i ..ppl should have unique and original aspects to them u know~!

and about the CG.. i guess its okay once in awhile.. but, bleh.. i think it was a complete waste the way they did the 3d animation in GS, and GSD.. but if you look at FFVII AC, the graphics were done really well.. =/ but thats nowhere near subtle =p

and sure, why not.. you can be 13, we dont mind... honest! =/
