Meganekko's Coloring Art
Yoroshiku minna~ Well, I colored another set of pages from Ichigo 100% and I'd like to share with you all. And by the way, I'll post all of my colored works here... so my previous thread will be deleted, and my previous work will be posted here.
I really love comments, suggestions, AND criticisms. Also, requests are nice too, as long as it isn't too difficult... hehe ^_^

Wow! Great job meganekko! You continue to impress me with your skills in photoshop and colouring! I love the first coloured one of Toujo Aya, its absolutely amazing. I know you love comments, so here the first one to start the New Year of 2006!

Domo arigatou 1ce~san! I'll do my best to color more pages, from other series as well. If I could get a page good enough to be colored that is. So if any of you guys has a manga page that's begging to have some color in it, please share it to me, and I'll go and TRY to breathe some life in it~

Ok, lets do a little rewind. I found something awkward just now.
On the very nicely done Toujo picture (the first one), why is the sky red from top to bottom. Maybe you should add a little gradience and fade to a lighter shade going up.

Hmmm... I've thought of that, but felt that it might make the pic too.... something. Anyway, I'll go try and gradient it a little bit.
But for now, let's assume she's on the rooftop.... alone. And then she sees you... and smiles..... *drool* Then you forgot how weird the sky is and just focus you attention on her.... _________________ EX-mod

i need some help coloring hair, tips from meganekko san, any? and yeh, if stated about requests, well i kinda told you bout 2006 and me, so for the nishino pic at my post, onegaishimasu... and arigatou yet again...

Yeah I noticed there wasn't much simple logic in the picture because the sky was dark and she had a glow in skin and a bright shine from her hair. I was going to say something about it, but I guess the contrast was well intended. Gave the picture a really good effect. Well its 3:00 AM here now and i'm off to bed. My head feels like a brick. Take it easy, and have a good one.

Well, I browsed through a lot of pics to consult my colors... and I found a lot of them showing Toujo's hair to be dark brown... I thought she was black myself, but then, the majority pressured me and made hers brown as well...

And as for the hair coloring tips (warning, may need some technical know-how in Photoshop to understand the following):
> Create a new layer
> Using a brush, paint an area covering the entire hair with your desired color (No need to be careful of the edges).
> Click the SELECT menu, then choose COLOR RANGE.
> When your mouse becomes an eye-dropper, click a white area of the page.
> All of the white area will be selected, now go and press the delete button (be sure you have the correct layer chosen, the layer where you've placed the painted area).
> What you've just done is color everything that is not white, which is preferably the hair.
Now just go and practice this for a bit till you get the hang of it. If you're still not getting it, I'll go and put a detailed version of this in the Tutorial thread. _________________ EX-mod

edit- nevermind messing around in photoshop and think i found out how to.
Another pic~ Woot!! At last, my internet is back. They said the problem was a faulty line... fixed it in a minute, ugh. Why didn't they do it a long time ago?

Coloring her dress almost killed me, *whew~*. At least it turned out great, I made it to look like silk . Dunno what to do with the background though, so I just placed some spotlights. Now it's as if she was surprised by paparazzi.
