Though it's nice to have funny parts, it's the serious parts of the story that give it the most flavor (for me, at least.) So both would be my answer. A lot of drama mixed with a lot of comedy's pretty nice. The balance keeps readers from losing interest, and such.

Mangas i like funny. animes are better for teh serious stuff cause you got creepy music to go with it!

I actually like serious mangas better because they are more emotional and moving. Funny mangas are good for a laugh, and are pretty entertaining.

I'd actually go for both, because everything for me is good when it's in balance. Thats why both is better. There should be things that are funny, yet also things that are serious which shows the manga world in a bigger perspective.

two in one setting is awesome like samurai champloo, inuyasha, and naruto.

I like funny manga more than serious
