| I prefer funny manga since I like a good laugh, however, certain serious mangas like Death Note that really get your attention and have a interesting story are also very good. |

| I like comedy, but a little romance or seriousness is good too. |

both, i'd like to read both serious and funny manga, since usually a lot of manga combined these two. _________________ Whatever the past has been, has been the past...

| i like both as well, a manga should be intertaining and that's the most important thing, although i think it's prbably harder to draw mangas that are totally serious with no trace of jokes.. |

| I usually prefer the more serious things, mainly because they keep my attention for longer than comedy. Especially really sad series that make me cry. But I'm always in the mood for a good laugh, as long as things don't get too goofy. |

Have them mixed, of course! Ichigo 100 was serious as heck in some parts, and funny in others. There are good and bad for both sides, so i guess it depends on the manga _________________ What if, the only reason we die, is because we accept death as an inevitability?

I think both. Serious like medical & operation series, funny like pretty face and midori no hibi _________________ [IMG:329:162:2e6adb4596]http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t36/justice195/Kusuhabanner.jpg[/img:2e6adb4596] |

For the most part I like it when its serious, but then again, I think I would go crazy if there was no comedy. Now that I think about it most of the manga I have read has a little comedy in it. I mean I really can't stand straight up comedy or straight up serious, but when both are utilized I think it can be really well done.
And like some of the other posters stated a lot has to do with a good plot. Couple that with strong well developed characters and a nice combo of comedy and seriousness then I think you might have yourself a winner. But it is up to each person, because some people like dark things where as others like light things. |

| I like my manga best when it is laugh out loud funny. But there are the few days when i feel like reading a good romance story, or some serious drama... as long as it is well done. OH! and action, gotta love action... |

| I like my manga to be very "high level" thinking but also have some funny stuff in it. If it's all funny it gets boring and I really hate the girly kind. |
