You really should make a compliation of all of the chapters. That would be extremelly helpful.

eh? that i don't get...i'm not doing anything to the colors, just editing what's in text bubbles(and in ch.75 a little bit around the bubbles) but most of the page remains the same. maybe it has to do with what program you read the downloaded copies in, as opposed to the browser you're viewing them in.

edit was talking to the guy who asked about picture quality.

as to a chapter compilation, do you mean make them all in one .rar file?

If you are cleaning the pages. I suggest playing with the levels in Photoshop, I tried with a page yesterday and it helps a bit but the difference isn't amazing but the page seems cleaner.

oh lol... it doesn't have anything to do with the browser, or anything..... since u weren't planning to do anything to the picture quality then i guess u can ignore my post =P

and yes they want a chapter to be in 1 rar or zip file.... or in volumes

for older chapters.... go to the old suzuka thread... and look through the 40-50 pages for the old chapters...... they were scanslated by CGY

okay, listen up.

remember, give credit where credit is due. shinigamiangels and whoami deserve the most respect. anyone can make things look nice, but its hard to make the original copies.

well. i gave shinigamiangels and whoami more credit then they merited.
wha i believed was going is this:
1 shinigamiangels - translator(he got the scans on the net)
2 whoami was editing
3 you made the hq for their chapter just to help them(and that you don't ask credit for that).

i do give credit for the work of others. and i wanted to help you guys ( without asking for credit)

oy, I(and they) have school. dunno about them(or you), but I have exams starting this coming friday also. I can guarantee you, you're probably going to do faster raws than a/w scans. What did I say in the first post?

If you want to scan also, that's cool. but since you wouldn't let me HQ your scans, I guess the HQs for a/w scans will be a better reading experience.
too late now though ;P

and ariel, you got me wrong, i wasn't saying i just didn't want to give you cred or anything like that. I just meant it would be hard to work together on the same scan of the same chapter. I didn't say I deserve no cred either. Not to be cocky, but I'm not doing this for myself. i'm just saying a/w scans work harder than me to get this done. plus, you're not the first to ask. got a couple other people pming me also, i felt it would be kind of mean to say i'm picking this guy, and the rest of you can't help (cause 4 people, unless you're all working in the same room, is a bit too much to work on one chapter together). please don't think badly of it. maybe if CGY changes his mind he'd let you HQ his stuff. if i ever go into translating though( maybe by next year) i'll let people know, cause then i'll need help.

and just so you know, whoami is translating, shinigamiangels is doing the edits.

and transitory, i don't have photoshop, i'm doing this in Paint shop Pro. wish i had photoshop. If its brightness you're concerned with, the next chapter is brighter, looks better too.

Well levels function on PS is to play with contrast and brightness in an easy way. I don't know if PSP has the levels function but anything related with brightness and contrast should be fiddled with since it can make each page a lil bit better.

Nice a translating race! This will do some good ^^b (for the winner's ego and the manga readers :p) Fun fun!

If you are interested in becoming a real editor, check the guides in this site : http://www.manganews.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5 . And levels function in PS increase alot of the manga's quality if it is used correctly. Most of editiors use it when making HQ releases.

To Scanlators : well, competition is good for fan but don't overdo it >_>

Not much of a competition, seeing as how the people in this topic translates suzuka into english while CGY translates it into engrish

U guys got it wrong,
I am the one thats translating
angel is the one thats doing the editing...

and umm, I am not interested in some kind of speed race...
I am not even interested in posting Suzuka here, (not really a suzuka fan either)
A few days back, Angel said he wanted to read 75+ and CGY was being anal about not translating until ppl shut up..., thats the only reason I translated for him..
and since he decided to help u guys out by sharing what I translated, here we are..
so if you really want to translate fast, then be my guest (I dont mind stopping because its a waste of time to translate twice), as long u keep going and ensure that translations make sense...
I dont like ppl who "threatens" to stop
